Horseshoe Lookout

1 minute from the car park. Absolutely beautiful views from the lookout.
Mass sure you are doing the other walk starting close to the toilets. Longer walk, about 25 minutes one way but absolutely beautiful creek and view over the valley.

This lookout is at the entrance to the National Park at the top of a very steep and winding long climb on a sealed road. It is strongly advised not to tow anything heavy up this road. The view is spectacular and there is also a short nature walk to do.

Pretty amazing views, even on a cloudy day. Clean flush toilets with soap too. Not too far for an oldster to hobble.

A spectacular window into the Horseshoe shaped cliffface surrounding the Dawson Ranges of Blackdown Tablelands. Great carparking before the dirt road, toilets and picnic area. Do the walk to two mile creek and falls and enjoy even better view of the Horseshoe cliff face.

A quick 2 minute walk from the car park. We were there at sunset and it was spectacular!
Just a heads up, the drive up to here is steep and pretty tight. We were almost run off the road by someone flying down the hill so just be cautious when heading up there.

It was a wonderful place to see. Easy to get to. The view is wonderful before sunset. Not good on very hot days as the humidity haise blocks out the view on the horizon

The view is awesome, the surrounds beautiful and the facilities are excellent.

Fabulous place. Getting there is half the fun. Narrow, winding paved bitumen to the top, dirt after. Not a through road, have to come back same way. Popular with large four wheel drive camper vehicles. You don't want to meet one on the way up, even on the way down, for that matter. Nice drive from the highway to the base of the plateau. Take care if it's wet.

Horseshoe Lookout at the Blackdown Tableland National Park is at over 850 metres above sea level. The surrounding area provides good facilities that include several BBQs, picnic tables in a shady area, tank water for washing up and a toilet block. The lookout is about 100 meters from the parking area and the path there is paved. The views from the lookout are spectacular! The surrounding sandstone cliffs change in colours as the lights change.
