Great camp ground with some sites big enough for a caravan. Don't need a 4x4 but it will sure help if you are towing a caravan as road is very steep with some sharp corners. Low range is highly recommended if towing.
Lots of bush walks near by, all with excellent signage

Excellent sizes camping areas that are fairly level, especially the multi-use sites. Walking tracks are located nearby and provide a great activity.

The camping area in a bush setting beside the Mimosa creek is perfect. Very large private campsites with good basic facilities and some short walks from the camp grounds. There is abundant wildlife, more walks and lookouts at the southern and entrance ends of the park and a 4WD circuit to yet another spectacular lookout. The sites are numbered and must be booked online before camping which is easy to do. While the sites themselves are large with fire rings and seating, the vehicle parking area is defined by bollards and most sites are designed for tent or vehicle camping and only a few are large enough for small camper trailers. This is fine as you would not want to tow anything heavy up the very steep and winding long entry road even though it is sealed. If you have a van do not be put off as it is not far from dingo, leave your van and day trip in because it is worth it.

Accessible by car, great spot for the nearby rock pools, hikes, and waterfall.

Didn't stay at the camping ground but the sites looked good. Private and equipped with fire rings and shade from tall gum trees. There was 2 x sets of toilets but no showers.
Each of the walks of either side of the camp ground are also worth a look. Some great rock pools heading east, and learn about indigenous history and see some rock art heading west.

Mook Mook walk is close to the camp area, about 2.4km return. Relatively easy walk with great vista's.

Great spot but very dry at present. The road past the campground is very rough in parts. We were there immediately after the school holidays and the drop toilets were not coping and really stank.

Great QPWS Campsite. Bookings essential and pitches allocated/numbered. You dobt need a 4wd but it will help and assist in getting to some more remote locations. Bag up your rubbish and keep it in your vehicle at night - else the locals will get into it.
