Baden Powell Campground

Love camping here
It’s absolutely stunning & dog friendly. Took my beagle and she loved it, sniff all the things!!!!!
You can find a walking trail or a patch of river to yourself easy enough. The campsites have picnic tables and are not on top of each other.It has camp kitchens & drop toilets that are regularly maintained and in good condition. All the views are breathtaking, it’s a beautiful escape from the city.

Spur of the moment choice to camp here for a couple nights and so glad we did!
Absolutely beautiful, relaxing spot and so close to Lane Poole. You need to be self sufficient, which we were and because of that we didn’t feel the need to leave for all 3 days. So much to see and all within walking distance.

First timer! Thankfully serpentine was shut - otherwise I wouldn’t have experienced this place anytime soon. Lots of wildlife and places to explore with a huge bridge over looking the lake and waterfall. I definitely would recommend to check this place out for yourself! It doesn’t do justice until you’re there!

Most awesome camping off grid, long drop toilet no power, no screens for the kids and they didn't even notice. Fantastic swimming-canoeing. And the weather was spot on.

Camping at Baden Powell was such a serene, relaxing experience. The campsites are large, with a picnic table and fireplace at each site. The sites are cleverly distanced from one another to allow for privacy.
The amenities exceeded expectations with clean and stink-free drop toilets, and the camp kitchens are spacious, clean and a close walk from the camp site.
The national park is beautiful, with numerous spots to swim, hike or 4wd.
The staff are super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place surrounded by trees. The pit-toilets were very clean and well kept despite it being a long weekend. You can see others camping around you but theres enough space between each block. Bring your water to brush teeth and wash hands and stuff cuz the river is a bit of a trail from the location.

Fantastic place to camp as long as you are prepared to supply your own water and power. Very peaceful place. Taking a UV torch out with you at night on your way to the bush loo's will acquaint you with tiny glowing scorpions. They hang out in the leaf litter that borders the paths.. this makes for a good little nighttime adventure if you like that kind of thing.

Great place to camp... Can get a little crowded if someone wants to be loud, not sure if anyone is keeping people quiet or managed....

Sites are quite large, managed to fit a 10p and 5p tent on one site....

Really enjoyed our weekend here at Baden Powell!
The campsites are lovely and each have a bench and fire pit 🔥 with parking bays at the road edge too.

There are many toilet blocks around and they are kept clean and have plenty of toilet paper.

The BBQ outdoor kitchen areas are also tidy and very schmick. Plenty of bench space and seating area with sinks to wash up. The water is rainwater but not for drinking (unless you boil it or something)
There are also big bins around to get rid of your rubbish 👌

There are lots of walks around and just subject a lovely nature area! 🌳

Dogs 🐕 are also allowed which is cool. Keep them on a lead is the rule but how nice to have your furry mate along :)

Definitely on the list of places to come back to!

Took my boys here for a couple of days camping. Great campsite with lots of bush walks. Don’t forget your swim wear and canoes as the river is a perfect setting for both activities with easy stepped (stair) access into the water. Also the lizards (skinks) basking in the sun on the rocks adding another level of interest for the young ones.. with electric barbecue and communal kitchen facilities I can highly recommend Baden Powell campsite👍

Beautiful location with good amenities.
BBQs and kitchen area was tidy and long drop toilets were pretty good too.

We had a ball exploring the area and so did our dog.

Camp site was nice and flat with a picnic table and fire ring.

We have been a few times now and will be back again!

Baden Powell is situated in a regrowth forest area. The toilets are modern "drop" toilets, so don't smell bad like the older ones. Some of the bays are quite a hike from the parking spot. There is no potable water on site. There are free BBQs (gas). You cannot collect firewood or kindling from the surrounds so bring your own or buy some from Dwellingup. There were wildflowers and native orchids growing wild. I even found carnivorous plants!

This is a great spot for camping. Good drop Toilets and fantastic BBQ areas. We went at a quiet time so not many other people around. Even so there are enough toilets and BBQ 's for bigger crowds. Not far from the River, just a short walk. We will go again.

This is a beautiful spot so close to home , very peaceful when we went . Great to see so many campers enjoying the bush.

Amazing place, clean and well looked after. Water is freezing but so refreshing. My favourite place to camp.

Lovely trip so relaxing and very much enjoyed our time away over Christmas. Well worth the visit.

Fantastic spot with the kids on a hot day. Plenty of shade and easy access to the water. Well build picnic are with bbq and toilets.

Stayed for 2 nights few weeks before.one of the best place around perth to visit with family into the wood.
