Danny has been my amazing hairdresser for close to a decade! Under Danny's care, I have never had a bad haircut! My hair journey has been long, short, coloured, keratin treated and most recently embracing my grey! I have put off transition to grey for a while but I must say with my last cut I have been overwhelmed by the number of compliments on the stylish cut and less on the colour! Once again Danny has delivered; giving me a cut which has made my transition to grey quicker and ability to deal with the remaining colour easier. Thank-you Danny!

Mien never disappoints. It always delivers what I hope for. Layers, face framing, cutting advice is always time well spent. Danny welcomed me and listening to all my ideas for my cut and style. Mien Salon isn’t that great… IT’S AMAZING. Such a beautiful atmosphere, I live 50 minutes away from this salon, and I had seen Mien on TikTok, and i just thought… “I have to go here” and no regrets, amazing team, made me feel so welcome, also. The beautiful lady who cut my hair, Emily, was such a wonderful soul, she sat with me and we spoke more on my hair, how I wanted it, and discussed my hair texture so she could get a better understanding of my hair.

Emily was very sincere and you could genuinely tell she wanted a better understanding of my hair type, very professional, and concentrated a lot and knew exactly what she was doing!! Such a positive girl, I felt like a Victoria secret angel stepping out of the salon I really recommend her, she’s a superstar, she made my week, thank you. 🌹🌹

Danny is a fabulous cutter. Very happy with the great results he creates with each cut. I’ve had two quite different styles and delighted with each. It’s also a pleasure to spend time in the salon - friendly staff and a positive atmosphere. Highly recommend Danny if you’re looking for a stylish and contemporary cut from a hairdresser who genuinely listens, takes great pride in his work and achieves great results.

Nestled in the cornerstone of Fitzroys North sits a unique salon & spa that must be experienced. It was my first time visiting, and I had planned to meet my wife for a dual massage + spa treatment for two. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely Danny, we quickly made our way upstairs to a relaxing atmosphere with comfy seating. Here we met Sally & Pusan, the wonderful ladies who will massage us for the next 90mins.

A quick foot spa, and into the hot spa bath that was waiting perfectly temperatured. Sitting next to the bath, 2x cold glasses of champagne, water, soaps, shampoos plus towels and robes. All the essentials you need to unwind. (Special mention for the strawberries too, such a lovely touch)

After the spa bath, we moved into the massage rooms to begin our hour long massage and I have to say, I truly was knocked out cold because it was so relaxing. My wife said she heard me snoring in the next room lol, but, thats a sure sign of an incredible massage. Right?

Once we were finished with the massage both of us felt so light, rested, and also rejuvenated. 10/10 to both ladies who truly helped us to release the days stresses.

I highly recommend both the venue, the team and spa treatment facilities to any locals, or people visiting that area. Its top notch. Looking forward to the next session.

I love coming back to Mien. Danny & Clare always take the time to discuss my preferences, which I think is so important when styling & colouring short hair. I highly recommend booking an appointment at Mien....you won't be disappointed with the results! :)

Needed to drop in a review because the hype is real. I came in for a fringe trim, ended up leaving with the whole shebang because the team was that good. Danny gave me the best bangs I think I’ve had in my life (said as someone who’s had bangs for 20 years), they got my colour absolutely perfect and listened to my concerns, and there was a lovely young guy who did my shampoo and blow dry who was incredibly kind. Thanks for fitting me in and for the fantastic service - I’ve now found my Melbourne hairdresser.

Mien is a special haven in the inner north of Melbourne where I can relax and indulge in top spa treatments and hair styles. I have been a long-time client of Mien and the difference between here and other places that I have been to is that you feel at ease from the moment you walk in the door. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the friendliest people and walk into a serene and beautiful environment.
Danny has been my trusted hair stylist for many years. He is a magician and a master at his craft. I have wavy hair and he has given me gorgeous hair styles at all lengths over the years - bob, mid-length, long. I can be indecisive about my hair and often come to an appointment not actually knowing what I want done! This could be a dangerous mind set to enter a salon with but not with Danny. Firstly, he always listens. And when I am not sure what I want done, he will make a suggestion that I am happy with before proceeding. Also, he's gently encouraged me into trying new styles to freshen things up a bit (as I can get attached to a certain look!) and every time, he has been right. I love how I look after being in Danny's expert hands because I feel super confident and happy with my hair.
In the spa upstairs, I've had massages, facials and used the infused hydrotherapy bath. The treatments are luxurious and pure bliss. Thank you for the wonderful work that you do, Mien team! I cannot wait until my next visit. :-) xoxo

I have been coming to Mien since 2003. I went to London and when I returned and moved back to Melbourne in 2016 it was a no-brainer to come back to the salon! Danny is the best cutter I have ever had - he listens, he delivers!!!

You will not find a better salon in Melbourne. Danny and the team take so much pride in what they offer, the environment is so serene but my haircut with Danny is the best. He really takes his time to know your hair and cut to your face shape and talks you through styling it yourself. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I got a 90 minute deep tissue massage from Celine and it was bliss. She did a great job of focusing where I said I needed it, and found some spots herself that she promptly worked out. The massage was a gift to me and I'll visit again for sure.

I walked in to Mien without an appointment hoping they would have time for a hair cut expecting to the turned away. Micheal assisting me in getting me see to within 15 minutes.
Michael friendly face and willingness to get me sorted and comfortable was outstanding as well as keeping me update on how far my stylist was away! Would love this reception and level of service everywhere I went.

I had my first Appointment at Mien Salon & Spa 1 1/2 weeks ago as I was searching for a place that could take care of my curls. Everyone was really welcoming and made me feel comfortable in the space. Danny, my Hair stylist was doing excellent work and made me really embrace my curls. My curls were thriving after the super needed hair cut! He listened well to my needs and wishes and surpassed my expectations. The service was amazing and I left the Hair Salon super satisfied !
