Dr Ming K Yoong

I went through two births with Dr Ming Yoong. Both times perfectly executed. Given assurance during the pregnancy over all concerns and good post natal care advice. The Dr is genuine and takes pride in what they do. Would highly recommend.

Reflecting on what happened 6 years ago. Engaging Dr Ming Yoong was the worst mistake we could have made in our life.

I had a couple of red flag flashing at me, which I tried to warn my wife without success.

My wife was 36 at the time, we asked Dr Ming Yoong whether we should go with caesarian or natural birth, he said it's our choice. We come for your expert advice, but we were asked to make an
uninformed choice, when the clear choice in retrospect should have been a caesarian for a woman of that age.

The pregnancy went without a hitch, everything was normal until the time for birth, we were a week late, instead of giving us expert advice, again we were given the choice whether to induce the birth.

At last the water broke, my wife had a difficult time giving birth, but Dr Ming Yoong waited too long, and we ended up having an emergency caesarian anyway. By the time my son came out he's already distressed, covered in his own poo, and soon had low blood sugar level which required him in the special care nursery for 7 days.

At no time during the entire process did we feel like we were guided by an expert, the choice was always on us, a pair of uninformed first time parents.

My son is now diagnosed with ASD level 2 with communication delay and possibly global development delay. Pick your doctors carefully, don't ignore the red flags.
