Squatters Homestead Motel

Highly recommend the Squatter's if staying in Casino. The service from the owners is absolutely second to none! The motel is simple with many features being from yesteryear, but it extremely comfortable and clean. Beds are great, options of pillows in the room were also very good. The little bird aviary in the courtyard is a nice touch with birds chirping during daylight hours, and is further evidence of how the owners take so much pride in their motel. Freshly painted roofs and courtyard/carpark, pot plants all around and some table and chairs out the front of the room, actually make this Motel a lot more than you might otherwise expect. Great job to the owners and thank you for your wonderful service.

Stayed here for 2 nights and I cannot recommend staying here highly enough. The owners were absolutely lovely and made us feel like family from the moment we checked in. I had to make a last minute booking and they were just marvellous! The rooms are immaculate, beautiful and smell HEAVENLY. The rooms have everything needed for a stay and the snacks and minibar are truly amazing! Trudy and Pete are the ultimate hosts - charming, generous, helpful and a riot! Just booked for my next trip up and looking forward to seeing Trudy and Pete, even though I've only met them once for a 1 night stay!

Whilst not the fanciest, we found them really friendly and the room was really clean. We were there for a wedding and they had the room ready early as we requested which we really appreciated. It was convenient to everything. Lovely soft white towels and comfy beds. Thanks!

There are motels, and then there are motels. Some are slick and some not so. Some are clean, but don’t really feel like home. The Squatters Homestead Motel is one of those rare properties that feels like home. From the casual welcome on arrival to the beautiful sheets and towels that were not just the usual bleached white. The owner was engaging and friendly and we had a great overnight stay.
This is a small property, so don’t be surprised if it is booked out.

Extremely clean and fresh. The new beding is excellent. The owners/workers are exceptional very friendly and accommodating, they made our family feel very comfortable. Our room was very quite for sleeping. We highly recommend this motel.

Stayed at Squatters Homestead on a recent work trip for 8 weeks. Rooms were very clean. The owners are top notch. Myself and all 5 of my workmates were treated like family. I have never experienced hospitality like I experienced here. I can't speak highly enough of what the management did for all of us. I will definitely be staying at Squatters Homestead again. My husband and I stayed here and we found it a very clean room and very quiet. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location- great pub down the road for a hearty meal. Easy access to centre of town. Best of all the bath towels were huge! Thanks - will definitely be back.

Peter and Trudy went above and beyond to accommodate some of my changing circumstances. The room itself was spotless, well stocked and sooo comfortable! Netflix was also a great addition. I loved the homely welcome and will definitely stay again in the future!

Great place to stay. Staff are super friendly & helpful. We stayed in a family room which was big and comfy. Everything was clean and well maintained. The motel even offers a small stocked mini bar which we found great and extremely affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. The coffee supplied was Moccona and they even had complimentary biscuits. Its all these small touches that made this place a great stay. Thank you so much, we will be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at squatters. The rooms were lovely and the owner was friendly, polite, helpful and hilarious! He told me and my friend some of the funniest jokes we've ever heard and it truly added something extra to our stay. I will be staying there again next time im in casino. Highly recommended squatters. Loved every second of my stay!!!!

Five stars provided for the customer support from the management of Squatters Homestead Motel. I had one night accommodation booked, with free cancellation within 24 hrs. After the cancellation period had passed. Covid restrictions were imposed where I live making it impossible to travel interstate. Consequently, I had to cancel my booking at short notice. I contacted the proprietor directly and she (Trudy) agreed to refund my money in full. She was most obliging. I will certainly book with them again if I am able to complete my travel at a later date.

What a surprise, I arrived thinking I was going to stay in a 3star hotel, Went into the room to find a 5 star experience. Great hosts that made us feel at home. Spotless rooms and great advice on anything Casino. Will definitely be staying here again.
