It is really cozy to have hotpot in rainy days. The soup base of the hotpot we tried is nice and delicious. The materials are fresh and not too salty. It is highly recommended to drink some soup before start to eat.
Although the price was a bit higher but we usually visit Zhongyi when there is sales. This time we got $50 OFF when we spent $200! The price becomes more and more reasonable!

Wonderful dining experience at Zhongyi the other day. Authentic canton style Chinese stir-fried dishes for reasonable prices. Love all the food ordered. Shout out to Scott and his mates for the attentive service! Love the ambience as well!!

We visited in a very cold day and the clay pot was the best dinner option for freezing windy night. The pot came with fish and lamp and some vegetables and we only ordered three more veggies. The soup was delicious and warming. The pot is bit more pricy than other similar restaurants for small group. Recommend for a group more than 3.

Came here two or three times, both the food and service have been consistently good, authentic. The soup base for the hot pot was very nice, and the beef and lamp were quite tender. The most memorable dish was the shallot sea cucumber rice - the sauce was amazingly good. Most importantly, your clothes don’t stink after you come out, which is a plus compared to a lot of other hot pot places!

A delicious stew filled with hearty ingredients. Ordered the Abalone and Chicken Pot. The abalone, and chicken were served separately from the broth with generous portions. Waiters were very gentle and attentive to our clay pot and even help putting the ingredients into the pot. The chicken soup with abalone tasted great and satisfying and is one of the best soups for a cold.

The sea cucumber on rice was meant to serve hot but we had put it aside for a while and it got cold quickly in this cold season.  Would taste much better if we had it immediately after it was served on the table.

Also ordered the mixed braised dish platter which contains quail eggs, tofu, ox tongue, and pig ears. You have to be very careful not to order it if you do not eat some of these things at all!!

They charge $3 per person for the dipping sauce but also offer complimentary fruits, though not many choices.

Can order by scanning the code on the table, and the price is a bit expensive as you can see from the menu. Other than that, we've enjoyed the soup and restaurant looks attractive with fancy lantern decorations.

Highlights: rich quality hot pot base (we ordered the pork and bone marrow one), energetic and friendly staff, overall quite a ‘humble’ hot pot restaurant that focuses on quality and good food rather than extravagant displays ‘for the gram’

The overall meal was incredibly satisfying and left us very full! They also gave us free tangyuan (glutinous rice balls with black sesame inside) as it was the 元宵节 festival.

I didn’t give 5 stars only because the price is a bit higher than expected, we spent almost $400 for 3 people. Otherwise, their soup base was outstanding and the quality of the meats were also great.

Great food, beautiful design, delicious flavoursome broth but in the pricey side of Sydney's many hotpot restaurants.
