Amazing food, and impeccable service. Walked in here on a rainy day and was delighted by the yum food! Ordered the potato gnocchi with sun dried tomato. The service was amazing, so warm and friendly! Definitely coming here again to try other items on the menu. Extra star for the warm and loving vibe and service.

Delicious Turkish toastie with the BEST sweet potato chips I've ever had. Bonus the music played just gentle & soft. Gorgeous find. Highly recommend. Owner very friendly. The pasta dishes also looked delish.

This place is such a hidden gem that it deserves to have as many customers as the popular resturants nearby.

Absolutely delicious food and drinks with price you can no longer find in 2022, it opens incredibly long hours every day for a cafe and it is very comfy to sit in, chill, have a burger and do some work

Amazed by the quality of the food here when my friends and I wandered in late on a weeknight when other places’ kitchens were already shut. The chef single-handedly prepared all our dishes on his own and they all tasted delicious. Hats off to him!

Bit of a hidden gem due to its unassuming exteriors. Decently priced for the area. The Turkish sandwich I got was absolutely delicious (the chicken was super tender!) despite being a bit small for what you pay for.

I just found my new favorite cafe near my apartment. Amazingly priced and good food and coffee with breakfast all day (I think). Feels like a place I'd find in my small hometown back in California which is wild because this is Sydney and it's in such a great location!! The guy who served us was really nice too, and the music they were playing made for a very pleasant atmosphere. All around a fantastic place and I'm definitely gonna become a regular!!

Chicken burger is god tier. Classic style no frills. Milkshakes on point. Reasonable prices that keep me going back for more.
This cafe deserves heritage listing. I'll take a photo of the burger next time.

Best place to eat in Surry. I have been coming to this place since the day I moved to Surry 3 years ago, I always get fettucine and chicken pasta ( the best I have ever tried) excellent food and extraordinary customer servicing. Both the staff members are very kind and hard working.

We come here almost everyday for brunch. The best coffee I’ve ever had. The owners are wonderful and always welcoming. I highly recommend coming here👍

Really liked the cosy atmosphere. Was there alone and there was noone else inside but it was so comforting. The food was lovely and the coffee was strong and great tasting. Very keen to come by again.

Great lunch , lovely staff. We had lunch at Cossies just before Christmas and while the menu is basic is extremely well done, affordable and with attentive staff. We had an elderly relative who was treated with care and respect and loved the meal. Highly recommend.

Yes folks, Crown St *does* have an un-renovated, non-hipster, normal-prices option, without any hint of irony about it. Sit at the window seats where the view is neat and watch "normal" folks wander in because it just looks like a 'boring' regular "place" without the pretensions of so many other Surry Hills spots. Brisk trade in bacon and egg rolls the morning after an interstate team has visited the SCG or Allianz. Nice coffee - strong and gutsy flat white, and great brownies. Haven't tried the meals but the pasta "looks right" in that way that pasta sometimes does ;)

Edit: Upped my review to five stars, after three years of wandering in here randomly. Try the Coq au vin. Gem of a dish!

I have been coming to this place for the past 6 months on a daily basis and must admit everything has always been fantastic for a family run business the culture is so warm and inviting from the customer service to the great coffee's , Smoothies and the burgers are a must try.
