Waitpinga Campground

A pleasant experience of one night one day stay here. The flushing toilet was well maintained. During our time to stay here, the rangers came twice and made sure all cars parked were registered. No phone reception. Kangaroos visited twice as well. Birds sang all the time. A short walk to the beach where the phone reception was available and watching the sunset from was beautiful. Great that they also have a shelter, next to which BBQ is pretty nice with chairs and table.

Lots of spots for tents in amongst the trees, a short distance from the car parks - just 10 or 20 metres. Toilets and BBQ facilities. Nice spot near the beach.

Wonderful campground.. make sure you book well in advance. Tents and swags only but that's a plus..

This campground is stunning! Lovely and peaceful with lots of nature - wake up to the sound of waves crashing and wrens chittering in the bushes! The toilets are clean and flushing, but you must bring your own water. There is a covered BBQ area and plenty of space to set up in the sites.
The hikes near the campsite are worth checking out to see huge range of flora and fauna.
The beach is a short hike from the campsite or you can drive down. It’s not a swimming beach but it’s very picturesque.
Short drive into victor harbour. Highly recommended.

Nice place. Beside the camp ground there is a picnic spot with BBQ facilities. Nice walking trails. Awesome seaview from the camp grounds.

Georgious camp ground with a proper loo (camping while pregnant this becomes a hot ticket item). Wildlife right up to your tent. Friendly park rangers. Couldn't ask for much else.

Was a nice surprise to turn up and see such a vast campground. Sites for all sorts of set ups. From swags to large Camp. 28 sites in all, non allocated so just pick what suits you, lots are on sloped ground but it was easy to find a suitable place.
Flushing toilets and running water for hand washing was also an unexpected surprise.
Short walk to the beach but lots of shelter from the wind.
One of the best campgrounds I've used.

Nice, clean camping. Woke up next to a single kangaroo around our tent. You hear the beach (and can walk there through a 10m walk) but a quite tall hill protects the campsite from the wind.

Love these camping grounds,my brother and I have been coming here for years now,the nature out here is next level,the park have done a great job at keeping it that way,only tents but would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the city for a budget and not fat to travel 5 stars,just precooked cause it's pretty popular all year round.but spread out so you Really don't notice your neighbours.

Waitpinga Campground is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in our state. The campground is great; whether you are stopping for a night while hiking the Heysen Trail or staying for a more extended period of time, the campground is certainly a place you should stay. The campground is just a few hundred metres from the beach, which is also great. There is barely any light pollution, so you can see almost every star in the night sky. The toilet block is acceptable. I had a great 1 night stay here and would definitely like to come back.

Great place to camp with the beach within camping. Quiet area, secluded siesta, toilets.

Nice place to go camping toilets inthe middle of the camp grounds plus BBQ and seating under shelter .

Beautiful coastal environment just an hour from the city. Magical scenery, clean and well kept.

Full of wildlife ( human & non human) but the volunteers do an awesome job maintaining the facilities and the harmony
