Great opportunity to enjoy some excellent Malaysian food. Next time we visit we are going to be a bit more adventurous in our choices. Great value and atmosphere.

Hands down, still the best roti you will find in Sydney. You can witness the skill involved through their front window. You just have to order it and use it to mop up that delicious curry. We also tried another fish curry, their fried green beans and Mee Goreng. All absolutely delicious. Everything is done through QR codes and can get a bit slow during busy times. But it's all worth the wait. Oh, and if you got room for sweets, then the roti tisu is definitely worth squeezing in.

We arrived at 5:20 pm on Monday. There was a long line already! It’s always busy and tastes nice :)
My favorite is
• Roti Bom
• Chicken Satay
• Maggi Goreng

Definitely still the best roti and generally the best Malaysian food , yum yum . Its been a while although they have all new staff. Im returning after covid. The only thing that changed was the price and has the rest of the world. Worth visiting inline for 👏 sorry forgot the pics.

Everything was delicious, came out fast and the service was like a well oiled machine for such a busy and in demand establishment. Would highly recommend! We got the original roti canai, roti murtabak (lamb) and chicken skewers however only go photos of the roti canai and the kopi tarak (white coffee).

Good Malaysian food in a decent price, beef satay is tender and flavourful. I like the texture of Roti Canai which is freshly made. Nasi Lemak hits with good sambal and nicely fried chicken

The most famous restaurant in this area. You must try once if you want to eat Malaysian food in Sydney.

I came back two weeks later. I liked spicy lamb curry because of its tender texture and flavorful soup. Chicken curry and chicken pieces stir-fried with whole spices are OK but it's not my thing. The dessert is all good. The staff is always friendly. Highly recommend.

Comeback after years, place still busy pumping food.
Chicken satay was good, 12 pieces for $30, then I have their tea, with hint of ginger, perfect for windy cold night.
Roti was light and delicate, can’t go wrong!

I’LL be honest, I hate queuing. Sometimes the end result isn’t worth wasting half your night. But waiting for 20 minutes for Mamak was worth it, as the food was delicious 😋 i must say everything was so fresh and delicious. The menu have so many food items to choose from and everything was delicious. We ordered Roti Murtabak and other varieties as well, everything was amazing. I highly recommend 💯

Everything is good here, fast and friendly service. By far, the best roti s I have found in Sydney, so light and flaky, the banana filled dessert roti with icecream is a sweet to finish off a meal here.
Convenient ordering at the table via QR code, they are also on Liven so can get even better value here.

There may be a bit of a wait if you visit during dinner time. It was very convenient to order and pay using a qr code. However, it seems that it took a long time for the food to come out after ordering. The nasi goreng and satay were really good. The peanut sauce for dipping satay is really delicious. It is a place I would like to visit again.

Very tasty. We ordered beef satay, curry lamb, water spinach and roti tisu with ice cream, loved them all! I would come again for the roti tisu alone!

Mamak never disappoints. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat with authentic food and great service. Roti Canai is a must, satay chicken or beef are great, mee goreng is good and ayam goreng is a must!!! while it might be hard, try leave some room for dessert as these are also good. Not too sure why it only has a 4.2, perhaps its the line to get in or the fact its not fancy but if all you want is good food at a good price then this place is worth a visit.

Was not sure what to expect, but it came recommended as the best Malaysian restaurant in town. And it did not disappoint. Food was AMAZING. The chicken satay skewers were great, as was the dal with fresh bread. Fish curry was a little spicy, but still excellent. But good that we decided to go for the desert, even though we were pretty full already. It was to die for! Make sure to order it with the rest of the food as it takes a while to prepare. But absolutely worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mamak Haymarket, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. Despite arriving for dinner to a full house, the 20-minute wait in the queue was well worth it.

The staff at Mamak were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant. The cozy and clean ambiance further enhanced the dining experience, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.

Now, let's talk about the most important aspect - the food. The dishes I tried at Mamak were not only delicious but also offered a genuine taste of Malaysian cuisine. It's often hard to find authentic Malaysian flavors, but Mamak delivered on this front. The ingredients used were of high quality, and the prices were fair considering the quality and quantity of food served.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Mamak Haymarket to anyone looking to savor the flavors of Malaysia. The friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and reasonable prices make it a standout choice for Malaysian cuisine enthusiasts and foodies alike.
