My husband and I visited to celebrate a birthday. Every aspect of the experience was exceptional, from the extraordinary new interiors, to the delicious menu, to the personalised, friendly and welcoming service, to the ambience and, of course, the spectacular view of sparkling Sydney Harbour. It is clear the operators are true hospitality professionals that have thought of every aspect and touch point for their customers in the design of the relaunch of Sails. Congratulations team! Highly recommend.

My favorite is the steak here. The steak here tastes very good, the meat is very tender and has a good texture. In addition, the restaurant is very well located on the seaside. When eating here, the view is great whether it is day or night. A great place to celebrate birthdays, festivals or dates.

Had an absolute blast at the Sails restaurant. Took my mum there to celebrate her visit in Sydney and it was an amazing experience for both of us.
The location is perfect, facing the Harbour Bridge, the Opera and the Luna park.
The food was very delicate and we tried flavours we’ve never had before.
The staff was extremely welcoming, Abdoul took care of our table and he was really helpful and nice!
Would definitely recommend this place for an escape in a stunning location!

What a brilliant experience. Gorgeous location and a menu to match! Staff were amazing and attentive. I highly recommend the tasting menu for a wonderful journey for dinner. Make a night of it and catch the ferry as the wharf is right outside. Definitely will be back.

We celebrated our 15 year anniversary at Sails and enjoyed a most wonderful evening. The set menu was delicious and filling and our table had great sparkling views of Sydney’s iconic harbour bridge and Lunar park. Our night was most enchanting thanks to Abdoul who ensured our dining experience was to perfection. We cannot recommend Sails enough!

Three course menu was very good and service was great. Abdul is a nice guy who cares about customers. It took almost 2 hours though, we had plenty of time so it was ok. The view was great and it’s a nice sunny day you can take some good photos.

We had the pleasure of dining at Sails on Lavender Bay last Friday to celebrate a friend’s birthday, as well as the Sydney Opera House’s 50th. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with impeccable service and an unbeatable view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Seated promptly, we were given a choice of still and sparkling water while we admired the vista. Once everyone arrived, menus were distributed and it became instantly clear that choosing would be tough—every dish by Chef Saro Derderyan appeared mouthwatering.

We all opted for the three-course al la carte menu, pairing it with a delectable assortment of cocktails, mocktails, and wine. Highlights include the ‘Tuna Tartare Cracker’ to start, the ‘Line Caught Coral Trout Carpaccio’ for entrée, and ‘Special Wagyu’ for the main course. Each dish was a marvel, impeccably presented and bursting with flavor.

Even the drinks had whimsical names like ‘Smooth Sailings’ and ‘Mood Indigo,’ perfectly encapsulating the vibe of our dining experience. And let’s not forget the desserts—‘Honey & Lavender Crème Brulee’ was the perfect sweet note to end on.

The venue itself struck a balance between contemporary and classic, made all the more special by the panoramic harbour views. The staff were outstanding, engaging us with their well-informed knowledge of the menu and overall warm hospitality.

We’re already excited about our next visit. Sails on Lavender Bay is a must-try for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Sydney.

I was recommended this restaurant as my parents were visiting from the UK, and it did not disappoint. The view is breathtaking and if you don’t get a table right by the window it really doesn’t matter! You can’t help but smile when you are walked to your table as the view is that good. Having lived in Australia for 15yrs views like this never get old.
The size of the venue is just right, intimate and tables well spaced out. The music they had playing really suited the venue and was so nice for the three of us to actually hear each other when talking!
To top it off the food was delicious! Beautifully presented, almost too good not to eat! The only down side (and I’m being selfish here) to fine dining is wanting more on your plate!
The wine which was paired with our meals was perfect and that was thanks to the very knowledgeable staff.
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive just what you would expect from an establishment like Sails. I look forward to going back soon.

Beautiful food, table and location. Abdoul looked after us really well, we sat outside it was just perfect! I really appreciate the fact the temperature in the restaurant was just right, not too hot, not too cold like most restaurants in Sydney. The food was amazing, we had the octopus and prawns in entree, the whiting and spaghettini for mains and the crème brûlée for dessert - really recommend them all. 🙏🏼 ⭐🩵

The restaurant has stunning view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I had the a la carte for lunch and food is great! The chicken liver parfait entry is so tasty (not pictured) and the barley risotto also has amazing texture. The truffle butter that accompanied the sourdough is also tasty. There’s a degustation menu option too with wine pairing. Will revisit when the next occasion comes about 😊

Wow what a beautiful restaurant! Service was exceptional. Food was absolutely beautiful especially the BBQ Grilled King Prawns and Duck Breast. Sauces that accompanied the meals were extremely tasty. Pictures tell the story. Spacing/timing of meals was excellent because it gave us time to enjoy the ambience and world class scenery. If in Sydney, you must book and enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

I went here for my 30th birthday, everything was exceptionally perfect. Abdul took great care of us for the two hours we were there enjoying the tasting menu. The paired wines were very much on point and added to each dish and my fiance and I were a huge fan of the "Another One" cocktail. Oh yeah and the view is neat.

Today we had the pleasure of savoring the culinary delights at Sails on Lavender Bay, and we must say, their dishes are nothing short of extraordinary! Let us take you on a journey through three of their standout creations: the Cape Grim Tenderloin, the Aquina Murray Cod, and the Farro Risotto. Prepare to be tantalized! 😍🍴

First up, let's talk about the Cape Grim Tenderloin. This dish is a carnivore's dream come true! The tenderloin, was perfectly cooked to a succulent medium-rare. Every bite was a revelation, with the meat being incredibly tender and bursting with rich, juicy flavors. It was a symphony of flavors that left me in awe. 🥩🍷

Next on our culinary journey is the Aquina Murray Cod. This dish beautifully showcased the ocean's bounty with a delightful twist. The cod was cooked to perfection, with a crisp and golden exterior that revealed a flaky, delicate flesh inside. The accompanying sautéed greens and a tangy citrus beurre blanc complemented the fish wonderfully, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The presentation itself was a feast for the eyes, with vibrant colors that mirrored the freshness of the dish. 🐟🌿

Last but not least, let's delve into the Farro Risotto. This vegetarian masterpiece was a revelation in itself. The farro, cooked to a creamy consistency, provided a delightful chewiness that added depth to each spoonful. The risotto was generously adorned with a medley of seasonal vegetables, creating a symphony of flavors and textures. The dish was beautifully seasoned, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine. It's a testament to Sails on Lavender Bay's ability to create indulgent and satisfying dishes for all palates. 🌾🥕

Our servers were pleasant with full explanation of the menu and each of our dishes when they arrived.
The food was delicious and tasty.
The decor was fresh and appropriate and the tables and chairs framed the harbour views to their best advantage.
A visit here will give lasting memories.

Amazing and Magnificent would be words inadequate of being used to describe the full dining experience in this restaurant.

Dining is a multi sensory experience. this place ticks all the boxes. Not only is the food filled with flavour but you can taste the layers and feel the effort and technique put into every piece that is served. It truly takes skill amd talent to put together the artwork that makes up the dishes and the overall ambience and meticulous service given to each and every customer.

For basics, portion sizes were surprisingly substantial compared to other fine dining restaurants. The menu items not only cater to the more sophisticated of palates but also has a good mix for those seeking the more pleasant and basic flavours of savoury and that wow factor.

The sear, the sauce, the textures and the overall composition of the dishes were astounding. With each bite hinting and leaving you wanting more. Such a great experience and definetly worth enjoying once again.

Exceptional restaurant, view and service. As long time Eastern sub sydney locals we don’t often get the passport stamped to cross the bridge but we will again to dine at Sails. On a picture perfect autumn day with nothing but blue sky, the views were truly magical. The food was outstanding. Dish after dish was spot on. The service from Abdul was warm, funny and so engaging. Alex was incredibly polished with great finesse. We’re already wanting to return.
