It doesn’t get much better than this to be honest. Old school country table service , with home cooked food and atmosphere.

Absolutely pumped that I stopped and checked this place out…. I’ve not been in anything like it anywhere in Aust. Once you have entered the dining room .. you’ll know what I mean.. massive kudos to the owners and staff.

Loved this cafe, customer service is amazing, everyone is so friendly, the food is nostalgic with menu items such as a fish finger sandwich for the kids. All reasonably priced and they serve alcohol. I highly recommend having the Niagara on your bucket list, it's like stepping back in time to the 50's-60s.

Looking for that perfect lunch stop between Melbourne and Sydney. Do yourself a favour and visit Niagara cafe. Reminded me of an American country cafe. Warm friendly service and a great stop. We had the Ruben toastie and chicken salad. Great coffee and definitely try the coco loco smoothie.

Magnificent example of a 1930s Australian country town Greek cafe in Gundagai. American art deco design with a magical interior.
Coffee is excellent. Impressive menu.

Old school cafe on the main drag, historic atmosphere. Plenty of indoor seating, and some outdoors. Genovese coffee and tea drop tea. Staff were great and the toast was excellent

Had a fabulous brunch. Atmosphere is fantastic but the food, drinks and service were even better. Recommend it as a must visit for everyone passing through.

Amazing folks running this place, an absolute treat to behold and seriously amazing food and beverage as well. It's really lovingly restored and pays tribute to a rich heritage of Greek Cafes throughout Australia. An absolute must stop on any trip down the Hume. 12/10.

We had a lovely stop off here for breakfast on our way home from Sydney. The food was amazing, and so was the service. Fantastic people and good coffee. The Art Deco style counter and decor details are fabulous.

Wonderfully restored classic Aussie Greek cafe in delightful and iconic Gundagai. Good range of food with a great atmosphere and service. A must visit destination "on the road to Gundagai".

Dropped into here on a Sunday afternoon as a lunch option away from the service centre. Couldn't have made a better choice. The menu was uncomplicated, the choices were good, the service prompt, friendly and on point. To top it off the coffee was great and food fantastic and the retro milk bar aesthetic perfectly suited. Recommend highly

Fantastic little diner cafe with wonderful period features. Food was delicious, hot chocolate was large and creamy, and the thickshakes are the best I’ve ever had (almost too thick to drink!!)
Booth seating a little narrow, but still comfortable. Cannot recommend enough.

Great place to grab a meal in Gundagai 👍
I had the special of the day ... gourmet pie with chips and salad. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
Very popular venue.

What a great step back into the past. The service, the fare and the coffee are all excellent.
Do yourself a favour, next time your heading along the Hume at Gundagai, pop in and enjoy good old fashion service.
We stopped for brunch, with the Niagara Poach and the corn fritters.

Fabulous time capsule and beautiful presentation. Great breakfast in early 20th century setting. Booth seating and good menu. Suitable for vegetarians. Well worth the stop. I tried corn fritters and my partner had eggs Benedict. Great coffee as well. No real down sides but I did notice that the unisex bathroom did not have a change table but also noticed it was spacious so it likely does not matter.

Whether you’re travelling north or south on the Hume, this is best place to stop not only for the great food but the vibe. It’s like stepping back in time. We ordered the Niagara Big breakfast and it was enough to feed two hungry tummies. Fruit smoothie was also refreshing and service was welcoming. Lots of seating available, we sat in one of the booths and the space between the bench and table did feel a bit awkward but wasn’t too bad.

Great aesthetic and good, well priced food. My wife and I both had the chicken and gravy roll, and it's pretty much exactly what you want from one. Chips were crispy and well salted, roll was soft and warm and had plenty of chicken. Breakfast menu looked good too.

Niagara Cafe in Gundagai (Australia's oldest Greek cafe and milk bar), nice history, good to see the new owners are keeping the tradition while adding some modern touches.

Wow! What an art deco gem with friendly service and good coffee. Gundagai is worth a visit; it’s small but mighty with good retail and a friendly vibe. If you’re driving the Hume I highly recommend taking a break and sitting down in the Niagara for a coffee or food. We only had coffee but the menu looks enticing. The restoration of this cafe is first class. Give it a go!

Amazing visit to the era of the Deco splendour of the Greek Milk Bar, perfectly restored with all original counter, booths and even vaulted ceiling. Our breakfast was as good as the service by a waitress who came here as a child. A must visit and worth getting off the hume highway for.
