We are the blessed to have 'The Ettie' as our local cafe. The food is amazing and the cakes/pastries are out of this world. Lovely for a leisurely brunch - today I had the Braised White Beans and Chorizo with toast - absolutely scrummy. The cakes are constantly changing and never disappoint - had more than one each today but that's why you share, to taste as many as you can. So worth a visit! Love you guys, so glad you're in Taralga!

Absolutely adore this Cafe! We stopped in when travelling back from the Blue Mountains, after reading it was a family owned Cafe we were keen to give it a go! We ordered coffee and toasted sandwiches, I opted for the spaghetti one which was absolutely amazing, the sourdough was absolutely perfect and the spaghetti was lovely and saucey, topped with fresh shaved parmesan cheese. We have now been back several times and have never been disappointed, an absolute gem!

My son and I were on the way to the ACT, and on the hunt for a bacon and egg roll. Wow we found the best/ I'll be back. 👍

Wow what a hidden gem, with continental breakfast included in our room from the night before we browsed the selection of coco pops and cornflakes and decided we would try our luck on the town.

Wow were we surprised when we found this perfect little cafe in the centre of town hidden beside the general store .
The coffee was on point and the food amazingly fresh and presented well.
Fresh juice and an ever changing menu.
We left full and will return for a cake sometime soon.

"The Ettie "as it's called by us is the coffee shop in taralga run by a local couple and their lovely staff.
The food, pastries and coffee are so good you don't want to tell anyone about to keep it less busy. Of course that doesn't work, on the weekends it is absolutely pumping!
When an experienced fine dining chef and a self-taught pastry power woman open a coffee shop you just hope it is in your neighbourhood, we got lucky.
My recommendation is to have a plan when you get here. At least 2 people, so you can try different dishes. Order more then you can eat and take the rest home or just suprise your stomach 😉
Also get one of the pastries and cakes each, ( about 12 choices on the weekends) and invite your neighbourhoods at home and impress.

Well, what a find when you least expect it. Just passing through the little picturesque village looking for a bite to eat. Menu looked interesting and inviting. I chose the slow cooked beef toastie. Let's just say the bar for toasties has been raised that high I might not be able to look at others elsewhere. For the quality very reasonable prices too. Coffee excellent. Anywhere near fo yourself a favour and give them a go.

Amazing cafe, definitely try their smoke trout and rosti dish. Also has the best baked treats, if you're driving past definitely worth a visit!

We stopped by on our way through, just looking for a coffee and maybe a bacon and egg roll but was blown away with the choices we had! Everything was amazing and there were plenty of unique options. Wasn’t what we expected in a little town but certainly made it a memorable stop over!

Loved the lamb curry pie, stopped in on our way back home to Wollongong. No one in my car is ever stopping in @ Goulburn Macdonalds again lol

Perfection! Best breakfast I have eaten in a long time. Smoked salmon and bonito roll were both fantastic.

Any cafe that serves leaf tea in sensible-sized pots has to be worth 5 stars, but the food is also excellent. I had the bacon and egg roll as a late 2nd breakfast, and wished I had room to try some of the cakes as well. It's almost worth driving there from Canberra just for the food!

This is the best Cafe I've ever had the pleasure of eating in. The food is stunning and done really, really well, It's obvious the owners, chefs care about the food they offer up as it shows on the plate, I can't recommend it more highly. The spaghetti on toast deserves some sort of medal. And when the meal is done, prepare to stock up on the pastries, cakes and pies they offer up, just so the awesome times carry on. Thanks for being legends Grand ettie, and thanks for the epic food.

This cafe is so lovely! I have stopped here for a coffee before, but it is definitely worth taking the time to sit down for breakfast or lunch.
The coffee is really good, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the stuffed focaccia with salad and I would highly recommend it.
The staff were all extremely friendly and professional, and the building/decor is lovely.
Faultless!

It is worth the drive just to stop at this cafe. Great little town, great pub, caravan at Showgrounds and the best breakfast and pastries at the Grand Ettie cafe next to the general store
