Coalcliff Rock Pools

This rock pool is secluded, almost hidden from the standard tourist trail.
Easy to get to with a playground and modern bathroom facilities.
Locals have a gem hidden here.

A beautiful place to swim next to a mountain. There is a park close to it, so it is a good spot to go with children. The views are awesome, having a beautiful beach next to the rockpool.

Very good place for kids. Parking near the place is limited on busy days. There are a number of small rockpools for kids to enjoy catching tiny fish and touching sea anemone. But be careful and keep them close to you and don't let them go towards the sea.

Quiet during winter and high tide but worth seeing the ocean and the skies dim.
Also very windy, rocky and has a white tide pool to the right which is good to recreational swimming during any season,

What a beautiful beach with a public sea side pool and rock pools. Walk along the rocky shores to see the sea bridge.

Great pool, the whole area has some beautiful rocks and cliffs. Feels secluded. Beach sand is not quite as nice and fine but worth the trip before heading onto Sea Cliff Bridge. Parking is a pain though so just be aware of that.

Visited this place after going to look at the sea cliff bridge and was a great place to visit. We didn’t swim as it was too cold but I looked like a great pool for swimming. We went during low tide and got done good photography shots. Totally recommend this place. Parking was easy and there is a kids park near by as well if you have kids

Stunning location to catch the sun rise over the ocean. Great for a fresh morning dip.

Peaceful location with great views of the whole beach line that follows along down South.

Spectacular location with super impressive vista. Council have built state of the art toilet facilities.A children's play area has also been set up in Leeder Park. Serviced by a bus route this site lacks parking as fishermen also use this location to access the nearby rock platform. The 25 metre rock pool has a children's pool and is topped up daily on high tide.The only downside is that it should be cleaned more often but that is probably a council budgetary situation. Mind you being flushed daily would keep it sanitary it's just the greenery that is a little off putting. Right now April 11, the grass at the park is overdue for a mow, maybe months of rain have added to the problem both in growth and difficulty of mowing soaked ground.
Coastal run off has coloured the water in the pool and right along the coastline.
December 23 Friday 8th grass has been mowed and the pool was cleaned yesterday.

Excellent place for the kids to collect rocks and shells! Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful beach with swimming pool

This is a lovely place to go to with the family. Playground for the kids and electronic amenities (toilet, disabled toilet and a change room). There are shaded areas and a two minute walk the the beach, right next to the pool. Just make sure to put on sunscreen because I got badly burnt when I went there. You should go and see for yourself, you won’t regret it!

Great place for a morning Sunrise or a quick dip in the rock pool.
