La Capannina Italian Restaurant Sydney

Everyone is very friendly, the food is delicious, the place looks amazing! Everything tasted so good and the place felt so accommodating because of the smiles from the staff. I recommend to everyone!!!!

A wonderful restaurant with beautiful food and such attentive and warm staff. We had such a lovely time. The atmosphere inside is amazingly intimate and there was not one thing we ate that we would not recommend! Delicious cocktails made the meal all the more enjoyable.

Beautiful authentic Italian food in a stunning setting.

In Milsons Point with the Harbour Bridge as the backdrop sets the scene for this long established restaurant.

The service was first class from start to finish. Started with the salmon which was beautiful. The fillet of beef for mains was perfectly cooked.

The selection of Italian wine is first rate too.

Last night I celebrated my 70th birthday at this lovely restaurant. I cannot recommend it more highly we were a table of 13 including 4 children. The food was fabulous we had a mixture of share entrees and main meals and all the children had pasta dishes which they absolutely loved, chips, bread and gelato. We all finished with birthday cake which was brought out with musical accompaniment expertly played by the owner. The staff were very attentive to our needs even though the restaurant was packed with patrons. We all had a great night couldn't have been better and we will all be visiting again.

This is one of the best dining experiences that I had in a long time. The staff are lovely and everyone is super friendly. The food is delicious and the limoncello at the end made it perfect. I will absolutely come back.

As an Italian living in Sydney, I must say that La Capannina is my favorite restaurant here.
The food is wonderful and meticulous in every detail. The service is pleasant and the staff (a lovely authentic Italian family) is always smiling and helpful.
The location is spectacular and very romantic. The restaurant is only a short walk from Milsons Point train station. The place is also suitable for large groups or events and ceremonies.
You must definitely try the "torta caprese" as dessert, it is unique!
Highly recommend.

Yesterday I had the best ever dining experience at La Capannina.

My girlfriend and I went for the Burrata to begin, Gnocchi alla Sorrentina for her and Gamberoni (King Prawns) for me, the freshest and tastiest I have had in a while. Reasonable price due to the quality of the food, and very cozy atmosphere helped by the smiling and kind charisma of the staff.

We will come back!

A classic family owned and run Italian restaurant - tucked away under the lead up to Sydney Harbour Bridge in North Sydney. Super friendly and attentive for the whole time we were there. The menu looked amazing, and they even catered for us plant based types. Great ambience and even though they were busy with what looked like a strong regular crowd they looked after us with delicious food served at a leisurely pace that allowed us to thoroughly enjoy each course as it came. The espresso at the end was delicious too. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a romantic evening for two.

Stacy and I used to come here, your waiters are lovely and beautiful much like Stacy. How welcoming to be in a place that reminds me of her. The tiramisu brought a tear (amisu) to my eye. Reminding me of when Stacy would spoon feed me random assortments of food, forcing me to guess what It was. If I got it wrong I'd get no sugar that night. 5 stars

Glad I found this old Italian restaurant. The specials are always great. Last night I had the Scallops that were delicious and firm and then the Tagliolini with Crab and cherry tomatoes and it was sooo nice 😊👍

Great spot. Have dinner then check out the sights of opera house and bridge. Right next to milson point station if you choose to enjoy a couple of nice bottles of wine with your meal.

The food here is lovely and the service is great. Crab pasta was outstanding.

I came for dinner for my birthday tonight and brought my mum and 4 month old baby. The staff were so lovely and accommodating! The baby was a bit upset from her vaccinations but they made her smile. The food was delicious, the service was great. I skipped dessert to take the baby home but I promise we’ll be back. Such a lovely venue. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant fo every occasion. Wonderful people xx
