The massive rock formation, Uluru, never fails to captivate no matter how many times you visit. Its sheer size and presence exude a powerful energy. Since sunset times tend to be crowded, it's advisable to arrive early and secure a good spot.

Its definitely special watching the changing colours of Uluru at sunset. We were spoilt having a full moon at the same time.
Pics were progressive from 5.30pm till dark.

The best place for sunset ! Only by car (better to rent a car than to be in crowds with local tour operators). Amazing time, color change with sunset ! Enjoy some local drinks and have some food ! You can seat on plateforms and put your food on it- or ants will help you … Ps : don’t forget protection against flies… we will go again to this very romantic 💕 place.

Great viewing spot for sunset. Bring some snacks and a drink and watch it change colour with the sun. Make sure you have your Park Pass - you will need to scan it at the entrance of the carpark (option to buy it at the entrance on the machine)

It's absolutely stunning. One hell of a drive to get here. But well worth it if you trust your vehicle 110%
I camped and was happy with the prices. Summer is VERY hot, and some camp spots could benefit from a little more shade. But I loved it here.

Incredible experience to watch the sun set on Uluru. It's a remote location but worth the trip once in a lifetime

Uluru's sunset is an experience you absolutely cannot miss. Under the afterglow of the setting sun, the colours of the rocks and the sky are constantly changing. You can really feel the magic of the Creator.

Great location for photos but definitely plan to get there an hour before for a car park. Don’t follow the crowd and stay after sunset to see the night sky appear, just bring some food and warm clothes and have a late dinner. We were lucky enough to be there in time for the full moon to crest over the top of the rock, just spectacular.

Get at least 1 hour earlier than sunset, slim picking for a space. No on street space. Ranger will move you on.
Was a beautiful view indeed as the sun leaves the area and sky changes colour.

Highly Recommend visiting the sunset viewing area for cars. Plan to arrive at least 30 mins prior as the car park fills up fast!

We visited on a cool clear evening. Took champagne and some nibbles and set up the tripod.

Best tip is to get there early to secure a good spot.

The Uluru Sunset Viewing Area is great for observing the effect of the setting sun on the rock. There is a good amount of parking and space for people to get comfortable one way or another.

We saw people sitting on tailgates, rooftop racks, camping chairs, and just standing. Some had picnic tables and all the trimmings to create their magic moment.

One tailgate was used to cook up a very aromatic BBQ on a portable gas hotplate.

The setting sun did its thing for us, Uluru colours changing as the sun set. The vivid sunburnt orange was magnificent and worth being there to see.

The ever-changing coloured faces of Uluru at Sunset! The Uluru Sunset Viewing Area has a carpark and a short walk to the viewing area. There is also a lookout that is a gradual climb of approximately 10-15 minutes walk. It is well worth the effort as the view is just spectacular! Don’t miss it!

Just a stunning place to sit and reflect on the majestic rock. We took chairs and nibblies and spent a couple of hours just watching the changing faces of Uluru. Come early for your pick of a great vantage spot.

Seit Sunset Tour. Just Awesome. Our wonderful guide Mon, set up homemade bush tomato dip along with other nibbles while we sipped bubbles watching the sunset. Well worth seeing and of course can not compliment our guide Mon enough. So much knowledge and compassion for the first nations people and guiding us to understand the cultural significance of this rock, Uluru.

Great place to view Uluru at sunset.
Recommend taking some chairs and parking further down the car park as the views are clear of trees.
The carpark starts to fill up about an hour before sunset so I'd recommend getting there early.
Worth it to see the colours of Uluru change as the sun goes down.
Would be a great place to do a time lapse of the sun going as Uluru changes colour.

We get in early to get the great viewing spot. Get to see the Uluru changed colour in different shade in different time.
Apparently the spot at the end of the carpark is the best.

Great spot. We had a camper van so we set up early, had an early dinner and then watched the beautiful sunset. Unobstructed views. Not crowded. Just beautiful.
Tip: get there early and you’ll have the pick of all spots.
