Food is a good portion and reasonable price. Flavour is also spot on esp the chirashi rice ( al Dante and individual grains - hard to get right and they did it well)

I was there in a weekday lunch and there was a long queue when I left

Will be back here again for sure.

This place always has lines on the weekends so took the chance to try it out on a weekday and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent quality Japanese food - sashimi was fresh and cooked food was done well. Pricing was fair and serving size was generous. May have found my new favourite casual Japanese place.

Out of expectation, the restaurant offers very high standard sushi. We ordered 14 pieces sushi combo. The fish are so fresh and tender. We also ordered a ramen and original fried chicken. Ramen is so do but the chicken is juicy and tender.

Ate here several times and can say that the portions for one roll can fill you up because the sushi rolls are massive.

There so much flavour if you can eat the whole sushi roll pieces with one bite.

Best to arrive early because there's always a queue.

Parking isn't too great during peak but the woolies parking is only a few mins walk to Moeru

Great food with great portions.

The 6 pieces of sushi was solid. The pieces of fish were very large and they were tender and subtle in flavour. The fatty salmon was extremely buttery and soft.

The pork tonkatsu was massive. It was crispy and hot and the tonkatsu sauce paired well with it.

The seared salmon sushi was also excellent. The portion size was large and had a decent amount of salmon and well made.

Huge sushi rolls!! This restaurant is my go-to if I'm ever craving sushi rolls. Their prices have gone up in recent years but this is probably the same across all restaurants in Sydney. Their other dishes are also delicious. Be prepared to wait if you're coming at peak dinner time.

I highly recommend Moeru if you're a fan of sushi! The servings are incredibly generous and the freshness of the fish is unbeatable. The Sushi Small (10 pieces for $25.90) is a personal favourite - the thick and fresh layer of fish on top of warm rice is simply delicious. Plus, the prices are a steal compared to what you would find in the city. However, be prepared to wait in long queues as this restaurant is always busy. Overall, Moeru is definitely worth a visit!

Busy for a good reason, Moeru is easily one of the best Japanese in town.

Make sure to come early as they accept walk-in's only. The quality is superb and the food authentic in its own right - why?

While it's not the same as a traditional Edomae omakase, Korean-style Japanese is a real deal - similar to Japanese-style Chinese in Japan. They hold very high standards and the genuinity can be seen through the dishes that they serve.

The ingredients in the sushi, the broth in the noodles, and the toppings & garnishes added were all prepared in great detail to add layers of flavours and complexity to each dish.

We've been coming for several years and the quality has remained consistent. Although prices have understandably increased recently, the portions are still pretty generous.

It's quite easy to dismiss Moeru as an average Japanese that caters to the locals, but to me it's surely one of Sydney's top Japanese in its league.

Our experience with Moeru was pretty good. We were seated relatively quickly, despite how busy the place was. Service was good, and the food was very good. Servings were reasonably large, and the taste was good. Although they did bring out one of the dishes when it wasn't complete hahah, they fixed it quickly. One thing that I didn't really like, was that it felt like they were trying to get us to leave quickly (It wasn't closing time or anything). However, the food was good, so I would come back here in the future.

Edit: have come here on three occasions now. Definitely good quality sushi. They don’t skimp on the fish portions and always presented beautifully.

Finally had chance, and come a couple times this month due to holiday season not super busy. The huge futomaki is not bad. But I would come here for their sushi platter and tempura - very good.
They are famous for larger portions so even just with one set mains will leave you satisfied.
Worth the hype, good deal 🤩

Visited on a Saturday just before 2pm and didn't have to wait long. Ordered medium sushi set (14pcs for ~$37) and stir fried pork ramen. Price increased but still a good value considering the size of fish. Pork ramen was also very delicious with a good portion size.

Amazing ramen, big servings and not overpriced. Agadashi tofu was a tad too salty but still nice. Nice setting with friendly staff.

This place is very popular but we arrived after 8 so only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The food was delicious and really affordable. The portions are massive so you get great value for money. For 2 meals and 2 beers it cost around $50. I ordered the teriyaki chicken meal and it was so so good. My partner got the chicken katsu donburi. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

Arrive early to avoid disappointment. This place is worthy of the hype. The sashimi and nigiri are premium quality and the portions are very good.

They will add a few pieces of tuna belly and salmon belly to your platter, which melts in your mouth. They also keep a bottle of sichimi togarashi at the table to help yourself. Food arrives quickly and the staff are very attentive.

Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been.

This has to be one of the best Japanese spots within the Ryde/Eastwood area. Quantities are huge especially the sushi rolls but the food is also quality. Please come try this place! Be wary, lines get long so come here when they open at 530pm.

Don’t sleep on this place guys! Huge servings with the rice to filling ratio of a kimbap but with sushi fillings. 😍 I love the generous portions of filling and thin layer of rice. Be wary that the wait it LONG on the weekend as these guys are packed out. They also don’t take bookings so be prepared to wait if you’re planning on going between 6-7:30pm or opt for take away instead. This place has become my go-to local sushi joint. 🤤 Can’t wait to go back!

Very friendly staff and quick service. A large menu with heaps of different choices, something for everyone.

We ordered the beef hot pot, chicken and prawn roll with a side of takoyaki. Serving sizes were quite large and the rolls were huge.

Affordable prices for each of the dishes.

It does get busy so if you're planning to go, either go when they first open or be prepared to wait a while, quite a popular spot.
