I've long been a fan of the Saffron Bar in Freo Markets. Not only are the onion bhajis crispy and soft, the chicken kebabs succulent and tasty, the samosas tangy and delicious and the curry pies a hearty lunch on the go, the owners are always up for a chat to see how I'm doing. Customer service done right, and even better food. Check them out!

Wow! Went here today for the first time and got the butter chicken and tika masala. They were the best curries I have ever had! So yummy and authentic.

Tried the lamb masala pie for $6.

Not the best pie I've ever had but not bad.

I think I was expecting more of a masala hit and a bit more gravy.

Disappointing lamb samosa. Zero taste. Just loads of mash and pees, but no mince. Onion bad ji and veg samosa also okay to boring.

Went there 7pm summer Friday night excited about dinner. Walked for 4km to find it all closed up. Don't bother.
