Worth looking up and climbing the stairs for this hidden gem. Fresh hand made pasta was delicious and cooked to perfection, good simple Italian flavours. Diverse wine list with range of Italian wines, would be good to see a few more Australian options. Service was warm, friendly and attentive. Lovely setting with intimate lighting and a great view to watch the storm passing by. We didn't have dessert but the menu options sounded very appealing. Will definitely come back.

Went in tonight with no booking and they were extremely busy, but they had a table for 2 near the kitchen.
Served with water immediately and we then order our meals. The staff attentive even on such a busy night.
Have eaten here on many occasions and they never disappoint and tonight was no exception. Food arrived promptly and was delicious as always.
Congratulations to the new owners for keeping with the amazing standard of food and the incredible service. The chef and kitchen staff very busy but could see the care and attention given to every plate taken out. Well done.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch sitting out on the balcony/terrace overlooking the street. We were offered our choice of table which was appreciated. Service was impeccable - attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Drinks arrived promptly. Fair prices considering the quality provided.

We had dinner at LaSosta one evening, after dinner, we saw them serve someone else a giant t-bone served to the table over a charcoal grill - had to have it.
We went back on New Year’s Eve and had two. What a wonderful experience! The beef was dry aged 45 days, it was perfectly done. The grill gave it such a smoky flavour. The pastas, lamb shoulder, and appertizers were fantastic too. Thank you, La Sosta for a perfect New Year’s Eve Dinner.

The food is a very good modern take on Italian cuisine. As good as you will get. The ravioli was divine. The setting is over a spacious two floors with balcony dining an option. The staff are young, gorgeous, friendly and efficient. This is one of my go-to restaurants when I visit Perth. Enjoy a rooftop sunset cocktail at the National Hotel before heading to La Sosta for dinner.

Beautiful Italian venue! The standout thing was really the staff. Every single staff member that I encountered was warm, friendly and jovial. Really set the atmosphere in the place. The food itself was great and I imagine quite traditional - the focaccia entree was particularly good. The steak was amazing, meat was very tender and flavour filled. There were so many dishes that I wanted to try on the menu but didn’t get to - needless to say if they are anything like the ones that we ordered then the restaurant well and truly deserves a 5 star rating. Would definitely go back to try more of their dishes and experience their amazing service!

It's a good thing this restaurant is actually on the other side of the world. Whatever love at first sight is with a restaurant, I experienced it tonight. I've been studying pasta, bread and sauces for the last couple years. I am very glad to have put in the work because my appreciation for this open kitchen could not possibly be higher.

The Focaccia di Recco was absolutely gorgeous. I've never had focaccia in the Recco style before. I watched as the chef put it in the wood oven. It came out with beautiful blisters and was filled with an ambrosia gooey cheese. The elegance of this starter cannot be understated.

My martini came with a lemon peel and an olive. It was a stiff drink but worked well to reset my pallet. The strawberry gin smash was an absolute joy to of a cocktail.

Pappardelle al Ragu di Agnello e Tartufo was a heart warming, generous bowl of pasta. The pappardelle was a wonderful al dente and the combination of truffle, pea and pecorino delivered the soft, fall apart lamb like a stork gently delivering a baby to the doorstep of your pallet.

Gnocchi al Cinghiale was a bowl of soft fluffy potato pillows in a hearty, comforting spiced boar ragu. This dish has everything that you need, and nothing extra to take away from the simple perfection.

Both the Profiteroles and the Affogato al Caffé were wonderful ways to end the meal.

The entire time I was in the restaurant, all the staff had their heads down, working hard and concentrating. The servers can be seen running around, taking orders, serving and clearing. Yet somehow the owner was running around even more than the staff. He revealed that when he and his wife set out to move to another country, the choices were between Canada and Australia. Apparently Canada would have been too cold.

If you find yourself in Fremantle ... Maybe the Perth area? Come eat here.

I have not been so completely satisfied with a meal/restaurant for so long 😋
Being so disappointed with La Madonna Nera just last week, I just have to leave a good review for La Sosta, Fremantle for such authentic Italian food, amazing ambience and top-notch customer service.
We had 1 entree-sized pasta each, shared a main porchetta and a dessert each. Everything was perfect we couldn’t fault anything. The waiters were so knowledgeable and friendly and we didn’t feel rushed nor neglected on a fully booked Saturday night.

OmG! This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve eaten at and I’ve eaten at many. Four of us went and we came out of there feeling that we had eaten like royalty. It’s authentic Italian made with fresh local ingredients and specialty Italian fare. The service was excellent. The staff were Italian and they knew the menu very well. The wine was excellent. It’s not expensive but it certainly tastes expensive. The hand made pasta was a treat. I’m going back for more.

I had an amazing dining experience at La Sosta yesterday. The service, especially from the manager Jesus, was outstanding. He was so patient and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The atmosphere was elegant, and the food was delicious, from the bruschetta to the handmade pasta. La Sosta surpassed my expectations, and I can't wait to go back again.

What a beautiful ambience.
Loved the place.It was on my go to list for a while and was not at all disappointed.The pasta I ordered was so yum that I can still feel it in my mouth while writing the review.

I recently celebrated my birthday at La Sosta and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I enquired about my event to the end of the evening, everything was handled with professionalism and care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our party had an amazing dining experience. As always the food is delicious and perfectly executed, thanks so much for a memorable evening!!

Beautiful restaurant! Very spacious and crisp. The service was perfect. We had a somewhat unruly young baby with us and they still all paid attention to and spoke to her as much as they did to us. The food was extremely good, but the portions were very small (but expensive). Maybe I didn’t realise it was such fine dining. We ate second dinner a few hours later. But my husband said it was the best ravioli he’s ever had and he always just says everything is “not bad”. I could eat the lasagnole every day for forever.

This was my Wife's work dinner, and wow what a place. Personally served by the Owners is rare, everything was a standout. Staff were fantastic, food was sensational. Entrees were very good. Wood fired lamb shoulder I really liked. We would not normally be able to afford something like this as it was a little pricy for what we can afford, but service and food was impeccable so very worth it if you have the budget. Espresso Martini was easily the best we've had and we've tried them all over, dark chocolate on the top just lifted it to another level. Pina Colada was awesome. Mojito was awesome. Price per person estimated from menu that was there.

8 of us ate here for dinner, including one Italian, and the food and service was faultless. Very busy restaurant so you must book. But food was served quickly. Water at the table as we sat down. It is upstairs but we found out there was a lift. Imperiale dish was magic. The lamb (agnello) tremendous. Desserts to die for. Some really nice Italian wines. Catered for our lactose intolerant diner. Highly recommended.

Delicious pasta, raw beef(entry) with amazing service. It’s a good to have dinner with friends. If alone? That’s alright. They will take good care of you. Because I came alone.

Absolutely love this place. We come back every couple of months. I hope they bring back the Ravioli di Maiale. Until then, here is the Perth Yum Hunters favourites from their current menu:
Focaccia is light, soft and just delicious
Ravioli Ai Porcini, delightful mushroom pasta
Pappardelle Al Ragu, a very hearty lamb pasta
Ossobuco, delicate veal on a bed of saffron risotto.

We paired it all with a Primitivo from Puglia that certainly hit the spot!

Finish with the Tiramisu or Millefoglie and Long Macchiato.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Perth. Visit weekly and never bored by the amazingly consistent quality food. When you see owners tirelessly working you know your at the right restaurant. Staff are amazing and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Service was excellent. Servers were attentive and very nice. Amazing food, and one extra cool point was the staff all spoke Italian to each other! Dessert was amazing, and hand crafted at the bar just near our table. Did I mention the food was amazing? Highly recommend this restaurant!

Very friendly staff who will help you explain food on the menu that you are not familiar with. Great food thats cooked to perfection. The pistachio pesto lasagnole is me and my family's favourite. Focaccia was soft on the inside but crispy at the bottom. Just the way i like it! Risotto with cheese and braised duck was good but a tad on the saltier side for my tastes buds. Overall a great experience. Would definitely come back again.
