Sake Street

We were visiting from Melbourne and we have to say, the best Japanese food we have had in Australia! We enjoyed our experience so much, we returned the night for more.

Everything was outstanding...from the freshness of the food (very generous servings!) , to the very quirky decor (just like Japan). Small & intermit setting, perfect to be able to have a conversation over dinner and to be able to hear one another.

We were staying with family who live in the area who enjoy the finer things in life and have now added this little gem of a place, to their list of regular eateries.

We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sydney! Keep up the great work team

The experience was very pleasant the two times I was there. The food was simple, fresh, and authentic. The staff were courteous and friendly.

We absolutely love Sake Street. In particular starting with some dumplings and a drink during happy hour before moving onto the fresh and generous-proportions of delicious sushi.

Had an amazing experience here!! It’s quite cozy inside but we were able to get a seat for 3 of us with no reservation. The sushi is so fresh and the portions are quite generous. The sashimi slices are phaaaat and they were sooo delicious. The staff were very attentive and helpful as well. They also have waters on the tables which I love because I’m always thirsty.
I had the tuna and avacado roll, the salmon sashimi & my friends and I split the seaweed salad & edamame. Would definitely go back!!! Hidden gem!

Being a Bondi local I can’t believe it took me so long to try this fabulous little restaurant! The manger/ owner Jack was absolutely lovely and ensured we had a great evening. The food was amazing, on Jack’s recommendation we had the gyoza, seared salmon sushi roll and dynamite scallops. Absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to go back to try everything else on the menu! The restaurant itself is so cute and has a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend!

Such great value. Sushi rolls are delicious. Carpaccio is amazing! If you appreciate authentic Japanese you will really appreciate Sushi Street. I stumbled in for a happy hour and now I find it really hard to justify eating elsewhere. Very friendly humble stuff. Now a weekly staple.

After watching Kyogo, Maeda and Hetate put on a show for Celtic I thought it’s time to try some Japanese cuisine. And my word, it was phenomenal. By far the best food I’ve had in Sydney. I really hope Celtic sign more Japanese players and start selling Edemame in the stands. #PH

Sake street is awesome! Such fresh sushi and really great value for money. The staff are super friendly and there is a cool vibe at the cafe. It's so nice sitting outside people watching!

Food was tasty and healthy.staff very happy to accommodate you in your ordering specific foods . friendly atmosphere,very popular place . We went on a Sunday for dinner 🍽 and enjoyed the food and sake 😋🍶

I have no idea how this place only has 3.6 stars, because it’s amazing and deserves much higher. I frequent this place atleast once a week and I am never let down. The sashimi ocean, salmon sushi deluxe and the dynamite scallops are my all time faves. It’s amazing value for such fresh, authentic Japanese. The waitstaff are lovely and if you ever do have slow service, which isn’t often, it’s because the food is made fresh and to order. Large servings for a small price. A great place to eat

- Saturday night dinner here.
- Had the salmon sushi rolls deluxe, chicken karaage, sweet potato chips, tuna and salmon sashimi, seaweed salad and the pork buns.
- Service was excellent.
- The sushi and sashimi was probably of the highest quality I've had from recent memory. The karaage and other stuff were good too, but next time I go, I'll be exploring the sushi menu further.

Good quality Japanese. Excellent sushi. Best karaage chicken and tasty ramen. Quaint Bondi setting. Definitely worth an informal night out.

Sake Street is amazing, authentic Japanese - the gyoza is amazing. Really nice sparkling apple drink, could do with a wider selection of mochi

Love this place. Have been here 4 times and had a great experience every time! Great food, great service and good value. The blonde female European waitress (wish I knew her name) is fantastic....she always makes you feel welcome.
