Bento on York Street

I love the interior design of this Bento restaurant! It’s so artistic & Japanese! The Eel rice bowl I ordered is really the best one I have tasted- it’s so colourful & aesthetically pleasing! I can’t believe there’s such an authentic Japanese restaurant in Tasmania! Highly recommended !

Bento Box was good value. Side Note: it comes with Wassabi so we didn't actually need to buy some for the sushi rolls.

Loved everything about this place. Food was wonderful, very affordable, tasty, fresh and served with a smile. Definitely going back soon.

I had a meal here yesterday, which included sashimi.
Since last night until now, I've been experiencing continuous vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and bloating.
I'm wondering if anyone else who dined here yesterday evening is facing similar symptoms.
I also had some fried food and soda at home last night, so I'm not sure if it's related to the sashimi.
However, that was the only raw food I consumed yesterday.
I'm feeling a bit better now, although my stomach is still hurting. Just trying to get a sense of what's going on. Thanks.

Tasty modern Japanese restaurant with good service. We ordered udon, bento box and few sushi rolls. All of them were really nice. It is quite comfortable to eat in, it has nice and modern interior design.

Good selection of Japanese food in a casual cosy restaurant. Donburi, Bento, Sushi etc. Presentation of Donburi & Bento for eat-in looks appetizing and also delicious. Large portion as compared to other similar restaurants. Eat in or takeaway. Polite & efficient service

This is the BEST Bento in Tasmania. Whenever I visit Launceston I always try to have a meal here. This evening I tried the new Custom Dinner Box as it was an easy way to pick a variety of their different dishes. As always everything was fresh and delicious 😊

Interesting and delicious find. Good service too. Had wanted to try the Chinese food next door but was closed. 3pm.

Just happened to pass this place while deciding where to eat, so happy I came back to eat here. Tasty food (I tried the chicken katsu curry), good value and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again if I come back to Launceston!

Love this Bento store, the best! Always wonderful, fast, friendly and professional service, along with delicious, fresh food always served. Always customers seated inside dining, no matter what time you go in, says alot about its reputation also. Only place I grab my Sushi from now, Always easy street parking right outside the door too. 😋😍

I eat here often, the quality is always great, the prices are affordable, and the service is lovely. Nice atmosphere with tasteful decor. Tables are often dirty but this is probably just because of how busy the shop is. Any time I’ve asked someone to clean it they’ve always obliged. Lovely staff, fast service, great menu options including vegan and vegetarian options, larger and smaller meals, and takeaway items.

If you like salmon aburi, get the salmon rice bowl (donburi with grilled salmon). It is really good! Sushi rolls are good size and value.

Fabulous food. Service slow because so busy. Staff shortages. Ned 1.5 more people. But those working were fabulous 👌. Tables needed cleaning between diners...overall gr8 food and a happy place.

Amazing sushi rolls (generous amounts of salmon), amazing salad bowl. Went here twice in three days.
