Dan Murphy's Launceston

Here should be the first shop for alcoholic tourists because of Lowest Price Guarantee, widest range, long Opening Hours, right in CBD with lots of attractions/photo spots nearby such as but not limited to Female Factory Historical Site (now is Launceston College) & FREE TASTING, max 3 per person. Tasmanian Wines & Craft Beers are generally expensive when compared to all major brands with mass production. Elsewhere (Distilleries in TAS) whisky tastings are typically around $40 for 3 different types of 15ml each. Yes, Security Contractors are quite rude but unfortunately no where else has more &/or
cheaper even at that 2 local Breweries (now owned by 2 Japanese companies respectively), some Distilleries & Vineyards so I did not give a ship. Members may have further exclusive discounts.

We were visiting Tasmania and looking to buy some local beer, wine and whiskey. Dan's at Lonnie had a tremendous range to choose from. Their whiskey section is particularly impressive with varieties from across the globe as well as an excellent selection from Tassie. Kudos for the many options for local beers, a great way to try beers from across the state.

This place is one of the most complete liquor stores I have ever been. Just don't go there if you have had a few coz they won't be selling you any.

Great store, spend a lot of cash here however its too far from home (Burnie). We need a store in Burnie or Devonport.
Why are member deals not as good in tassie compared to the rest of the country when we're not as isolated as remote QLD & WA for example?

Massive alcohol shop with a very big range, likely the biggest in Launceston

Hard to not stop here when I'm visiting Launceston. After a few minutes in here you will know what you (don't...) need! Tempting to stock up a little much, but heck, prices are great. Parking never a problem and rarely any wait at checkout. Always a great beer special too....

Beautiful service. A gentleman named Michael served us when we wanted to taste test a few things helped us with any questions we had and was spot on with suggestions for things for us to try when we said what we liked. Would recommend, they have so much to choose from.

Great customer service, product range and great prices. Purchased a bottle of Splendid Gin Summer Cup and glad I did. Best gin I've had in years and I think it's Tasmanian? Anyway well done; I'll be back for more.

Lovely people and very helpful in helping with choices although i usually know more than them but very handy when wanting to try new products. Had few cheeky glasses of whiskies to try. Always love a trip to dan murphys

I walked over to the huge warehouse outlet to view the range of champagnes in stock .very impressed with extensive range 😎
The young lady was extremely friendly and knowledgeable in the location in store and followed up when I left the store .
