Fantastic open paddock with so much history! Astounding rock mountains all around. A family (2 generations) still mining gold in historic mines. So friendly - they shared information and showed us the process of finding the gold. Amazing to think there was a whole town on the site - plenty of signs to read about the history. A lots of tracks to drive or walk to immerse yourself in the nostalgia!

Situated within Homevale National Park is Mt Britton an old gold mining area but no old buildings remain. Area is very picturesque and has information boards giving the history of the town. Lovely place to picnic and if the creek has water running it is even more enjoyable.

Love the back roads, always enjoy the cows and the scenery. Out this way is Mt Britton an old Gold Mining Town.
