Awesome Vegan Cafe with plenty of parking in the surrounding streets. The food was amazing and very well presented. The staff were friendly and very efficient. My favourite is the Earth bowl - a good mix of goodness! We will definitely return to try other dishes. Highly recommended!

Love that their cakes change everyday. Paired with The Little Marionette coffee, it's the combination of something new and something dependable (coffee) that has kept us coming back. The staff have always been pleasant, too, no matter how busy the place is at times.

A new favourite brunch spot! The cafe is cute, the staff are friendly, and the food is great! Highly recommend sharing the waffles, they’re deceptively filling. Didn’t get a chance to try something from the pastry display the first time around, but the cake slices looked super appetising too! Perfect start to a girls day out 😁

Best vegan coffee and food in Petersham. Staff are super friendly. Food is amazing and well prepared, you must try the Waffle and Buddha Bowl.

Had the 7-courses (well, 9 courses as we added the two possible extras, he he) native tasting dinner with a friend, and it was SO good! I often that multi-course dinners have several dishes that taste more or less the same, but this wasn't the case here 😃

Unique and great flavours and textures throughout paired with incredibly friendly and down-to-earth service and a cosy ambience 👌 My favourite dish was the meaty mushroom pieces and even my friend who doesn't usually like mushrooms was a fan 👏🍄

Would highly recommend and, if my student budget would allow for it, have another tasting menu experience with Ruby Lonesome asap 🌈

Had some delicious brunch here with a friend. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating if you want to bring your canine friend! We shared some cakes and had the "duck" with greens and rice as we were feeling like something with an Asian stir fry vibe and it certainly did not disappoint!

All the cakes here are delicious but my favourite was the chocolate peppermint cake!

Looking forward to coming back here to try the native tasting menu they do in the weekend afternoon/evenings!

J’adore Ruby lonesome!
Beautiful vego food, lovely staff and gorgeous decor.

It’s so nice to be able to go this one-stop cafe for a weekday morning classic big breaky and then stop by on a weekend evening for a fancy tasting menu with cocktails and mood lighting.

Also so rare for a cafe/restaurant to excel not only at the savoury menu items but to also have mouthwateringly delicious daily cakes and sweet treats - the cheesecake on the native Australian tasting menu changed my life.

My only wish is that they would transition to be fully vegan, but considering it’s 88% there already I’m not gonna hold it against them - i can tell they are trying their best and it is beautiful to see a place with such heart and soul ❤

We'd had an early flight so were looking for a nice pit stop to have a rest before tackling the city. This place was recommended by our Airbnb hosts and it did not disappoint! It's a vegetarian café with LOADS of vegan alternatives/options.

They have a wide range of cakes and teas (of which we shared a couple; both were delicious. The raspberry, vanilla & rose cake in particular was great). We had the Greenies Smashed Avo Toast and the Budda Bowl for brunch which we can highly recommend.

What a spot! My partner and I absolutely loved this place
Had lunch here and we were both so impressed with the food AND with the vibe of the place
Delicious, fresh, and creative! And presented so beautifully
Felt like a small town Cafe, brimming with love and care
Hadn't tried Little Marionette coffee until we went here too and it was delightful!
Compliments to the chefs, the barista, and all involved in this wonderful establishment
Will undoubtedly be back to try more of their food!
Highly recommend for beautiful and scrumptious plant based eats!

Probably the best scrambled eggs I have ever had and don't get me started on the banana bread waffles. We go to Ruby Lonesomes most Sunday mornings and I just can't fault them. Their coffee is amazing, the staff are all lovely, and their menu is creative, well executed, and so delicious.
Can't wait to get and try their Aussie tasting menu and cocktails!

This is the second time I've been here.
We were a party of 4 and visited on a Sunday at around 10 am, and we didn't take long to be seated, which is pretty surprising for the time and day of the week.
Service was flawless and all our food came at the same time.
All their menu is vegetarian and it's really tasty, I recommend the Working Girl. Portions are decent and it's a good pricing too, also, their pastries and cakes are wonderful.

I came here for the high tea event on the 26th February and everything was absolutely delicious. The whole spread was vegan and the staff were friendly & accommodating. The owners of Ruby Lonesome are fantastic. I had been following their Instagram account for a while and saw that the high tea event was happening and enquired about accessibility. Nicolette got back to me fairly quickly with comprehensive information about the accessibility which is more uncommon than you'd expect. There are a few steps in the front door & a few extra ones inside up to the bathroom however they will accommodate you as much as possible! I was able to be sat in the courtyard which worked perfectly. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area.

REALLY delicious burgers!

A friend & I ordered one of the Cheeseburger & the Big Boi each, then (almost) halved them & shared (I say almost because I was very bad with my halving).

I preferred the Cheeseburger because I'm not a big fan of caramelised onions, but my friend rather delighted in the rich flavour of the Big Boi.

Coffee was excellent & service was friendly & fast. I was a bit disappointed with the cake I ordered (strawberries & cream) in that it was just a bit too much plain butter cream icing & the cake didn't have the bang of flavour I'd hoped it would.

Overall, an EXCELLENT place for brunch/lunch (and probably breakfast, but I mean who actually eats breakfast before 11?)

My best friend and I eat here often. It’s one of the best, no frills cafes in the inner west. Just some good old wholesome grub. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, and the coffee is great!

Service is always friendly and delivered with a smile, and the music is always on point.

Check it out!

The sweetest staff ever and some of the best vegan cakes you can find in Sydney! I ordered the fairy bread cake and I was honestly astounded at the smell and the taste of the cake. The cake is perfectly dense and pairs so well with the sweet frosting which is perfectly distributed through the two layers of icing. I cannot wait to try other cake specials in the future, keep up the amazing work! Additionally, there is very accessible parking at either side of this venue so it’s easy to get to.

Awesome vegan cafe! The staff were fantastic, and the food was out of this world! I had the taco special, which was amazing, better then tacos i had in SoCal! My girlfriend had the Bae-Root Bowl, which was phenomenal. The fried chickpeas were crazy good and the beetroot hummus was perfect. Topped it all off with some amazing chocolate cake! And the coffee was great!!! Will definitely be back! Probably tomorrow :D

Still amazing post lockdown! They have opened up the back courtyard, more seating, same great food and Coffee!!!

Great food and great coffee! I’m usually picky with my iced latte but it was perfect. Service was quick, the place was clean and everyone was really friendly. It’s good to see such an ethical business thriving and being successful. We will definitely be back to try more things as it’s close to home. Definitely recommend trying the falafel meal, the chips and the cheeseburger 😊 thanks for such a great experience

Visited with friends for their limited-time native ingredients tasting menu for dinner Pretty much every dish was amazing. Great cocktail and friendly service too!

Hard to believe all dishes were vegan.

Will definitely be back to try brunch.
