Sharon Kwan Kitchen

This is a very unassuming restaurant. Sharon is the owner and chef here. She is extremely lovely and her food is quite delicious. Came here after we landed in Sydney with family. We got The fried noodles with shrimp, and each ordered a bowl of laksa.

Her Laksa is extremely flavorful. It packs quite a punch in terms of flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed the soup. Laksa can sometimes be a bit too oily. Sharon is however able to impart all of the delicious flavors without using too much oil, which made the dish that much more enjoyable and stand out from the rest of the competition in the city. Of note, she also makes her own sambal which was the perfect accompaniment to all of our dishes. It had the right amount of spice and with her use of shrimps in the sambal carried quite a bit of umami.

We also ordered her roti rolls which were filled with curry chicken and topped with cabbage and carrots. Do not sleep on these rolls as they are very delicious.

It feels like home to me. The place just small but blooming in my heart. Especially the laksa and also mi goreng. The service also excellent, i feel likethey serve it with proud ✨

I came here tonight with a few friends for the first time and it already became my favourite Malaysian place in Sydney! The food is simply amazing!!! I felt like I was sitting at KL! Sharon was super friendly and hospitable. It was so worth making it the way there!

Excellent authentic Malaysian fare. We had char kuey teow, wah tan hor, nasi lemak with beef rendang and roti canai with chicken curry. Sharon is really friendly and great to have a conversation with. Truly a good place for great food. Parking is easy. Free for 2 hours at the roads behind the place. Highly recommended

Had this as catering for work. Delicious food. Chicken curry and vegetable curry were excellent, and the rice was nice and fluffy. Flavorsome, quality food. Highly recommended.

I am a really big fan of this place! Looking at it from the outside it does not look like anything special but trust me the food is out of this world. I work down the road, so we make eating from here almost a weekly thing. The service and the flavors are nothing short of amazing.

Great Malaysian Restaurant hidden in plain sight on Parramatta Road. The food was delicious - the laksa was my favourite. The service was very friendly. Be aware there are only a few tables onnthe premises.

Char kway teow here is delicious, tons of flavour. Noodles were tasty, 'char' was good and they were very generous with the lard and prawns. 🔥 Wife says she liked the chicken curry on her nasi lemak too.

You can tell Sharon's passionate about her restaurant and what she's serving, very happy to chat about it. I love Malaysian food, and I wish there was more like this in the inner west. Definitely worth the drive, will be coming back.

Excellent Malaysian food - Laksa, Prawn Har Mee, Chicken Curry, Roti etc. - loved it all. The Laksa is really good. I am on the Northern Beaches where finding good food is a depressing adventure - worth travelling for this! Also met Sharon - lovely host and very friendly. I will be back!

Nostalgic Asian home cooking.

If I live closer to this place, I'd definitely be a regular. The roti in particular was perfect: crunchy, thin, and chewy!

My only complaint is the price. I wouldn't be able to afford eating here all the time. The fare here is what you'd get really cheaply in Asia, so it's a bummer I couldn't eat this as often as I would back home.

Sharon recently catered our Christmas party, and delivered tasty, hot & delicious food to our office. She has a huge choice and also provided drinks - we recommend Sharon Kwan Kitchen!

We stumbled upon Sharon Kwan’s kitchen a couple months ago on our drive home.
Decided to pop in to give it a try. Lo and behold, the food was so good that we have been here at least every fortnight!

Sharon’s very welcoming and she makes it a point to remember all her customers’ name!

Ayam chicken 1/4 $8, Thai chicken 1/4 $8 & beef rendang with coconut tumeric rice with cabbage $18.50. Delicious but a little bit pricey.

Just opened and firing! Sharon is cooking up a tight menu of "Hawker" favourites and adding her twist. 10/10 for the Roti and Chicken Curry. Very friendly atmosphere I will be back, regularly.

Best Wat Tan Hor in the area (flat rice noodle chicken and prawns stir fried in creamy egg sauce). Authentic Malaysian food that makes you feel like home. Great little place for a quick meal or takeaway when you can't be bothered to cook.

Reminds me of how my mum makes food. It’s a hidden gem in the inner west. Good old traditional Malaysian cooking! Definitely going back there for my fix of Malaysian food next time.

Really tasty food and friendly service. Only a few tables so best to book if planning to eat in.

We love this place - it only has a few dine in seats so we mostly get takeaway. We love the curry puffs, char kway teow has that fabulous hot wok char taste, and the curries - chicken, beef and lentils/veg with loads of roti are standard fare for us. We've also stopped by for a laksa lunch which is delicious. We just wish Sharon would open up a dine in place nearby!! Authentic flavours and very friendly owner in Sharon.
