Waddy's Hut

We accidentally drove here following Google's navigation to Devil's Slide. It was about a 3KM drive of hilly dirt road with a few small potholes.
There's a basic little hut with a visitor's book you can sign, no toilets. The carpark area can accommodate a couple of cars.
From here, you can go on the "Wansbrough Walk" to get to Devil's Slide. The map says it's just under 1KM one way to the intersection of walking trails, and then another 730m for the actual "Devil's Slide" trail.
The Wansbrough walk section (1KM) took us about 50 minutes on the way up, and 30 minutes on the way down including stopping for photos etc. The first half of the walk is a mild incline, the second half is a pretty steep incline! Lots of forest debris; sticks, branches, loose rocks, honky nuts etc make for a slippery walk so be careful not to slip.
From the intersection of trails, the Devil's Slide trail took us about an hour of careful climbing. Bring a jacket - the summit is chilly!

Would definitely recommend you bring gloves to help you grab onto rocks/branches etc as you scramble your way up the steeper sections!

Lovely little hut at the bottom of wansborough walk. Well worth the trek.

Well worth a visit

lovely spot. The walk up the track to Devils Slide is quite slippery with fine marble like gravel on the steep track. Take a stick and good footwear!

Beautiful little place in the middle of nowhere. Really cool that you can organise with the ranger to stay there too.

Always great to see the lovely patch of karri trees here.
Always take visitors up here, they all love it !!!
