Absolutely great Thai restaurant. Went there for lunch after doing the granite sky walk - better to book before.
Food was amazing, had the masaman beef and panang prawn curry. High quality food with fresh ingredients, one of the best Thai places I’ve been.

Lovely experience. Great location. Peter, the owner greeted us, directed us to the nursery to see the succulents and bamboo, then we went inside to have a lovely lunch. Spring rolls were delicious, the sauce on the sate sticks was yummy and the pork was so soft and so flavoursome. Pad thai was lovely, just needed a flavour boost. Totally loved the highland cows that you can see close to the drive as you drive in.

Genuinely home cooked home style good Thai food. Vegetarian Penang curry was outstanding, as were the pork ribs with an amazing sweet and savoury star anise broth and an excellent Pad Thai to top off a superb meal. Lovely service from the Thai chef's Swiss husband and a fascinating garden full of succulents and exotic edible plants, all tucked away off the beaten track in the Porongorups near Mt Barker ... Magic!

We love Thai and this would have to be one of the best. Such a hidden gem with friendly staff but popular so need to book especially for the evening.

This is a beautiful country restaurant nestled in the Porongurup ranges. One is welcome to wander around the garden and purchase bamboo and wonderful selection of succulents in the nursery.
The food is especially delicious and fresh with home grown gourmet products. Very friendly service with a chat and smile and quick meal delivery. The best Phad thai in australia, strongly recommend this dish..

A real gem in the area.
The curry was delicious and they offer plenty of vegetarian options (just ask). Big portions, the price is more than justified. Good service and nice conversations.

We listened to the recommendations and reserved a table (about an hour ahead), which seemed a good idea.

You can also bring your own alcohol.

Part of the planning of our trip to WA was to visit this restaurant after seeing a story on ABC about it. We were not disappointed. Great people, service and the food was fantastic. If it's on the menu please try the satay chicken. Fresh food a highlight. Only a short trip from Albany and there is a Caravan park down the road. Highly recommend.

My partner and I live coming here. The food is delicious and people are fantastic. Menu variation for vegetarian was happily accommodated.

Be sure to book as they are frequently booked out.

We also stayed in the studio for two nights which was also fantastic.

Incredibly fresh Thai food in the middle of nowhere. Lots of the ingredients grown on site and some for sale too for the avid gardener, which my wife is! Spring rolls are truly excellent, so light and flaky with lovely filling but get there early as they often sell out quickly. Curries are full of flavour and they will make them Thai hot if you are that way inclined, which we are. However, they are generally made on the mild side. Peter is great as front of house and looking after the customers. Always a great experience here and the food goes superbly with local byo wines, especially the rieslings and the eponymous gewurtztraminer from Duke's! Do book well ahead as it's always busy even on the lunchtime sessions.

Food was absolutely delish. Panang prawn was the pick of the day, but it was so hard to choose. Fresh, homemade, flavour and good old fashioned country service. We also paired with the Maleeya from Dukes next door. Perfect match. I’ll be back to try the cheesecake for sure!

This is one of the best Thai restaurants you will find and certainly the best in the Great Southern. The decor is rustic, but Peter the host is a great guy and Maleeya's food is fantastic - she uses all fresh herbs from her own garden. The Massaman is the best I have ever had....including in Thailand !

Wow. Just wow. Now I understand why this is one of the best Thai places in Australia. While menu is not that huge, food is great and portions are rather on the larger side - don't make a mistake as you'd eat everything on the plate. Peter was very friendly. BYO only.

Oh, and don't be scared by the huge yaks who are welcoming you to the property :-)

What an amazing find! Surrounded by farmland on the edge of the Porongurup National Park this is the best Thai food I've had in a long time. It's a little pricey but the quality is amazing. I can recommend the Penang Curry! The host is very friendly and knowledgeable. To top it off we were greeted by a herd of woolly Highland cows under palm trees. What's not to love 🐄
