At 5:45pm, I suddenly realised that I had forgotten my medications on a visit to the Anchorage. Went to the Salamander Bay Amcal Chemist. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff soon had me fully covered. They are a great service to that community.

What brilliant and knowledgeable staff you have, walked to inquire about a shingles vaccination and within 10 minutes I was vaccinated and booked in for the 2nd dose in a few months. Christian explained everything about the dose and any symptoms that might occur. Thankyou for the brilliant service

I have to say a huge thank you to Liz who provided us with service that went above and beyond. My daughter was unwell and we were on holidays and Liz advised us, using her own experience as a mother and her knowledge of products at Amcal. She also gave us a recommendation for a gp close by who would assist us if we needed further support.

Best customer service I have ever experienced from a pharmacist - shout out to Liam - and from the staff in general. Not surprised the place is so busy, you’d go a long way to find such caring and supportive pharmacy. Highly recommend 👍

Jane who works at the counter is fantastic lovely super helpful couldn't ask for a better experience. The pharmacist on duty was also lovely great place and very helpful n knowledgeable ppl who work there thank you for all your help

Ive been with this Pharmacy for years. Recently had some problems with scripts that the doctors bungled up, this Pharmacy kindly makes sure I don't run out of my meds. Its an extremely busy Pharmacy but they always have the time to sort any issues out. To be honest, the health system has nurse/practitioners now, so I believe it would benefit with Pharmacy/practitioners. I could name a few at this Pharmacy that would easily wear that title.

These people really care, we where travelling up from Sydney my 7 year old son had an infection and after waiting for an hr for the shopping centres drs to open which didn't (advertised a 9am opening) we where recommended to go to the hospital. Upon returning with a script 3 of the female staff remembered me and my son and all helped. Thank you all so much 🙏 and btw he is so much better now.

So much more than your average Pharmacy. There is always a friendly Pharmacist for expert advise and they are my first point of contact (more often than not they are usually the last as well, as they seem to be able to answer all questions and provide any necessary products) for any queries I have with my daughter. The staff are extremely friendly and their gift shop is probably the best spot in town for a quick one stop shop for fantastic homewares and baby gifts, with free gift wrapping!

I would just like to say a Very Very big Thank you to Tracey .. Regarding an order I placed on Sept 10 for the Transmitter for my Diabetic Pump .
Tracey went above and beyond to help me receive my order .. I do not know how many phone calls she had to make regarding this item that I needed ASAP .. I am glad to say I received my Transmitter on Saturday 29 Oct (thank heavens)

The pharmacists and staff are wonderful - if I could give more than 5 stars I would! They are all friendly, caring, knowledgeable and lovely - many of them remember my name now, as I've been getting scripts filled there for awhile, which is excellent customer service and makes you feel like part of the community. A big shout out to Briony who has helped my whole family with various issues, with a lovely smile and gentle care. Bree has also been wonderful - my medication had trouble getting into Australia with covid delay issues, and she was constantly chasing it up and keeping me informed - I'm so appreciative of her help. I read the other comment about wait times - please be patient when you visit. If you are getting the flu jab, fill out the questionnaire on the reminder email so you don't have to do it there, and slow down the process. This chemist has worked all through lockdowns, at the risk of getting sick themselves. Please show them some care, like they show us. Thanks for everything you do, Amcal Salamander.

Today was a milestone with our 6 year old daughter getting her ears pierced. The girls at Amcal made her feel safe and the whole experience was just beautiful.

Wonderful service every time . Friendly and helpful staff ...nothing is too hard for them. I feel safe when going into the shop during the virus outbreak with a high level of vigilance being exercised by staff. Home delivery of prescription service is a great option too. Always given great advice and I feel the staff genuinely care about their customers.

Had a problem with my mums cpap machine and went to the pharmacy for advice, seen this lovely lady Bianca
her experience with cpap machines was very helpful and her knowledge is out standing if anyone is having trouble go see her for help you won’t be disappointed everyone at the pharmacy are so friendly and helpful and highly recommend them.

The team at Amcal Salamander Bay are just awesome. Christian was empathetic and understanding of my situation and went out of his way to help. By far the best Pharmacist Ive ever come across. Christian youre a champion!

Fantastic customer service from Andrew and the team today which made getting a COVID booster for my wife and I such an easy process; genuinely friendly and nothing seemed like too much trouble despite it being a busy Saturday during school holidays.

We use it for the compounding chemist and supplements. Not cheap but good.

Amcal Salamander Bay is my absolute favourite pharmacy! No other pharmacy compares to this one, as prompt service, expert advice and product recommendation is phenomenal. Staff are always very friendly and knowledgable, and help is always sought. Even after moving an hour away, I still regularly visit and call the pharmacy for any needs that they can meet. Their service cannot be beaten.

Had a appointment with Bianca regarding my new sleep apnea machine, she was amazing to deal with , the best service I've had in any form of retail, i would highly recommend her to anyone who has any sleep apnea issue or purchasing a new unit , once again appreciate all you help Bianca and all the staff at Amcal Salamander Bay ✌🏻

Staying in Nelson Bay for our 15th wedding anniversary, & my husband stood on my glasses which led us here!! I had a total knee replacement done about 4 months ago & still have pain & swelling..A lovely lady helped me out this morning with the most amazing brace to make walking a lot easier!!
