Wolseley Hotel

On a cold windy winter's evening we ventured in. The fire was going, Tim the publican was super welcoming so we settled in.
Food was great - try the satay schnitzel ( thanks Maddie ). We'll certainly stop here again. Great spot.

What a great place to stop, Tim and the staff were super friendly as were a few of the locals who dropped in for dinner.
Can highly recommend the Wolseley Hotel and the Godfather Snitzel… best I have had in years!
We camped, free of charge with a dinner purchase, at the side of the brand new bathroom/toilet facilities which was brilliant. Tim was very gracious in letting us “christened” the new amenities.
Will definitely be back. Thank you

Tim was the person I believed he was, having not met up with him since late 2019, yet he was there in a moment of need that many others surely wouldn't be. It's one of those things that you can never expect, but you hope for when needing other's help. So a huge shout out goes to Tim and please let Maddie know her help was greatly appreciated too.

Our stay in the hotel (room 9) was pleasant and the food was great too.

If you have a chance, and you're going to stay in the area, check out Wolseley Hotel. Tim is the type of guy you want running a county pub, and he knows the importance of being genuine.

Stayed at the back of the pub in our camper trailer on the way to the eyre peninsula.. awesome spot, and our meal was fantastic.. great spot to stay

Best chips in SA! A lovely peaceful spot for a glorious sunset out the front- a good half way stop between Vic and SA just 10 minutes off the highway and free camping out the back - the fabulous publican seems to be constantly enhancing the place so its always changing shiny new bathrooms were getting put on this time!
They have rooms to stay in- Colourful friendly locals- a power team of sassy women were running the place when I visited! Keep up the good work Ladies!💗😁

Great country pub with friendly locals ,a friendly publican and staff.
Stay out the back if you have a self contained van or camper.
Have a feed and a drink in the pub. Very good pricing.
Yummy meals.
Stayed a Friday night and plenty of locals turned up.
So glad we pulled off the A8 and stayed here.

If you like to be immersed in Australian history, Wolseley is a small community just outside Bordertown with a fascinating history. Story boards all around the town, great reading. These unique structures were fuel storage during WW11.

Proper country pub with great food cold beer and great staff just off the highway it is the perfect place to rest after spending the day on the highway without having to listen to trucks rumble past all night free camping out the back and freshly renovated rooms

Upon entering the doors of this beautiful 100 year old pub you know the walls could tell a few stories. The beautiful timber work really add charm and alot of character from the staff and patrons and some friendly pats for the pub dog Wol. The diverse menu fit for anyone and the food was fantastic.. Bloody good chips! With the ability to roll the swag out the back or pull up a camper the Wolseley hotel really delivered for us on our way through. Will be back 😀👍

This is hidden gem. Historical old Aussie water hole, touch off the beaten, but only by minutes. Camped out the back for free.

Publican Tim behind the bar runs place and is reviving this 100+ year old place from the ground up. Looking at the old pictures I’m shocked what he’s achieved, he’s bringing life back into this little corner of the world, and helping the small community here.

His past life as a chef is certainly evident. Bloody good grub, knocks off the local competition. Very impressed with the place and the owner, country towns need more of this, a chin wag is still a valued commodity.

Certainly be back when I can.

We camped for free out the back in the flat grassy paddock and went into the pub for a great meal, cold beer and free game of pool. All this for a very reasonable price. The staff at the pub are very friendly and welcoming, this place is a must visit.

We spent a very enjoyable couple of hours at Wolseley’s little pub. Tim is the perfect publican - friendly, interested and engaging. His cooking was great, as were the drink options. And some interesting local characters in the pub too! Highly recommend a visit to Wolseley and it’s very special pub.

Great country pub. Good food, staff friendly and free camping out the back if you spend some $$ in the pub. Give them a try.

My first visit for a monthly pizza night. 14 slices of pizza later you get 5 stars. Had a lovely night.

Great place for an overnight stop. Free camping right behind the pub. Tim is an excellent host and very welcoming. Would stay again.
