This was our first visit my son and i and there will be a lot more its a very safe and friendly environment and the two marshals on duty were extremely helpful we had no idea what the correct protocol was and they helped us get familiarised with the correct procedures and even helped my son with a loading problem he had with his rifle , if you enjoy target shooting this is the place to go . i should have said RANGE OFFICERS sorry .

Adelaide Target Shooters' Club is perhaps one of Adelaides' best kept secrets! The facilities at Monarto are of a "World Class" / International standard, with 90 heavy duty and extremely stable concrete benches that are under cover, shaded and rain proof, available for use by all visitors/members. To say they are "welcoming and friendly" would be an understatement. The club provides everything you need, including a free BBQ lunch!
So, all you need to bring is your ammunition and a rifle or three. There are trained safety officers watching proceedings all day, therefore you can relax and do not have to worry about anyone being "less than familiar" with safety protocols. ATSC caters for shooters of all skill levels and if you need any help, there are many experienced people more than willing to assist. The range has target frames (with paper targets only) placed at 50, 100 and 200 metres and caters for rimfire rifles, air rifles and centrefire rifles; with shotgunners able to do pattern testing or shooting of "still" (non moving) targets only.
Once you hit the freeway, it is an easy 30 - 40 minute cruise up to Monarto, then a short drive to the range after turning right at the off ramp when/if coming from Adelaide. The range is open from 10.30 am until 4pm, once a month on Saturdays and you can come for a day and see/try the facilities before joining. The Club has a policy whereby camouflage clothing is discouraged for safety reasons and the club has more of an "easy going" ethos, with the emphasis on fun and relaxed enjoyment, instead of a formal and strict competition atmosphere.
Yes, I am a member and can whole-heartedly recommend this club to everyone who enjoys testing their hand loads, sighting in their latest toy, or just "blowing out the cobwebs" from Old Betsy! Five thumbs up!!

i love to come here but i don't get to go there much but when i do i walk in without ear pro and boom my ear drums are gone its all the 308 going off
