Meriton Suites Waterloo

Absolutely loved our stay. The rooms are modern and cozy and so lovely. We had a huge balcony, and comfy furniture. The location was amazing, just a quick bus to the city that you catch around the corner. Close to plenty of cafes and facilities. There’s access to a large pool area, saunas, a gym and more (just a tiny walk from the apartments) when you ask the staff at the desk.
Our room was super quiet in the bedroom even though we backed into a main road. Was really surprised that we could not hear traffic at all. The internet is slightly slow, but really just overall a great stay.

I can't really fault our room here... Lovely big lounge, great king-sized bed, full kitchen, nice shower. We were also on the quieter side of the building, so minimal traffic noise.

The only negative I can think of is that there was a continual background noise from something on the ground level (air con perhaps?), not enough to annoy though.

Great location. Prices were very much the same as other places, possibly slightly cheaper.

Stayed on a street suite level while travelling for a sports event

After a bit of a stressful day with our flights we were greeted by Dylan at reception who was unbelievably helpful and instantly made our day better. So friendly and got us into our room quickly and without any hassle whatsoever.

The room itself was great! Kitchen area with everything you need.

Shower has amazing water pressure and most importantly the bed was super comfy

Location is great with some shops a small walk away. Would stay again.

Fantastic hospitality from the foyer to the front desk and the rooms are on point. Amenities are above and beyond and the extra features in the bathroom including a large bath and a shower with great pressure. Staff are helpful in every way. Great work Meriton Suites Waterloo!

We really enjoyed our stay. Two level suites were spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Pool and spa, little walking distance but really relaxing. Few little caffes and supermarkets..Thank you

No an ideal service from the hotel ; arrived at 11:55pm and wasn’t able to find a room ….. (no need to mention the rest)

Spacious two level suite. Lots of room. The location is good and you cannot beat the price in Sydney for what you get. The only suggestion is the place probably needs a couple more garbage bins - our kitchen didnt have one. The loungeroom table was also sticky when we checked in but none of these things would stop us rebooking in the future. Front desk staff very accomodating for early luggage storage as it has a 3pm check-in .

My wife and I recently returned home after a four month stay in the Meriton Waterloo with our daughter and granddaughter whilst their nearby home was being renovated. Before moving in, we were quite apprehensive as we thought, wrongly as it turned out, that no matter how comfortable the apartment might be, it was never going to be ‘home’ in terms of comfort and convenience but we needn’t have worried. The apartment we had, 1308, exceeded all expectations in every way - space, layout, furnishings, equipment - we couldn’t have asked for more.
And the staff, well, they were all simply brilliant and went out of their way to ensure our comfort during those 4 months but a special word of thanks must go to Maddie, Mancy and Rinu at Reception who went above and beyond to ensure that the apartment allocated to us met our every need. Their genuine warmth and friendliness towards us was a constant throughout our stay and every time I passed the front desk, they had the most fabulous, welcoming smile on their faces, no matter the time of day.
But this review would be incomplete if I didn’t say a big thank you to what must be Sydney’s best and friendliest maintenance team. Nothing was too much trouble for Raymond, the maintenance team manager, and his fantastic colleague, Harry. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and chat with them on a number of occasions as they dealt with relatively minor issues relating to some of the equipment in the apartment. Again, we felt that they took a personal interest in ensuring that, as far as possible, we enjoyed a trouble free stay; if the gods are listening, they will surely reward Harry with a bountiful crop of cherries from his garden this year!
And then there is Raymond - he moved to Australia from Ireland many years ago but along with his accent, has retained the wit and charm for which the Irish are famed. Absolutely nothing we asked for was too much for Raymond, in fact on more that one occasion we concluded that he relished a challenge when confronted with an appliance that had mysteriously stopped working and refused to give up until he had the answer. He is a real credit to the Meriton and is the perfect example of Ireland’s loss being Australia’s gain!
Thanks, everyone, for ensuring that during those 4 months, the Meriton truly was a home from home for us.

I live local, but stayed here at Meriton Waterloo suites for a week after convalescing from surgery.
All of the employees couldn’t be more helpful, with a special shout out to Iris on reception.
The one bedroom suite (731) was spacious, clean and tidy, and had all the ammenities I needed with a super comfortable bed.
The only issue was the Chrome-cast, which was resolved as soon as I asked about it.

Experienced the smoothest check in today at Meriton Waterloo all due to staff member Iris! Great customer service that should be rewarded. Iris made our experience just that much better, always offering services and help if we needed.

Near restaurants, near grocery stores. Perfect location. 2Br suite was extremely spacious and well-equipped.

Stayed here a few days after a stay at another Meriton property due to travel activities. Service is inconsistent- did not receive any reply to my email request re bed configuration prior to my arrival. But service at check in was good. Booked 2 rooms and 1 room was ready earlier than check in time and they allowed us to check in.

Room turned out to be very spacious. Great view of Centennial Park. They have the usual Meriton standard of laundry and dryer, cooking facilities, dining crockeries etc.

However, cleanliness - distinct grout stains, stains on walls, super oily range hood needs to be improved. Shower head holder is also loose. Cockroaches seen in the garbage disposal room (located on the same floor outside the room)

Also the room is facing the busy main road so it gets traffic noise early from 5.30am.

Their parking access - using room key card(instead of a parking ticket) to tap in and out is a hassle due to the need to reserve a key card in the car.

Facilities need more stringent maintenance - one of the lift swipecard has not been working for the duration we had been staying there. So basically limited to use of 1 lift through stay.

Access to gym and pool means a 2 minute walk from the property.

Location is still near East Village but will need to drive 1km if mobility is limited. But access to CBD, airport and other places of interest via car is easy. Limited public transport though.

Easy access to onsite parking & motel entry, clean, well presented & greeted with a warm reception.
Good place to stay if attending Allianz or the Sydney Cricket ground.

Absolutely lovely staff, helped when the remote was up sync’d. Suite was clean, spacious and the bed was SOOOOOO big and comfy!
Have already booked to stay again when I go back to Sydney next March. 🌷

For the price you pay, it’s great service. Oven was grotty so didn’t use it. Lots of breakfast places close by. We liked milk crate for breakfast. There is a Coles supermarket 2 mins away.

Good amount of space with split level design. Has enough amenities including an on suite down stair and a separate bathroom upstairs. Location is close enough to surrounding shops and venues to walk. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The place was great for a nights stay. A couple friends and I stayed we didn’t have any issues. The team from house keeping and the duty managers Maddie and Rinu have been amazing! I left a couple earrings and my vest from that nights stay.. they had found them both. Not only did they go above and beyond to search for these items they were able to respond to my emails as quick as they could to give me an outcome.

At first it was my earrings I was missing then a couple weeks later my vest I couldn’t find it anywhere and turned out I wore it that day so to Maddie, Rinu and house keeping thank you all so much I appreciate your help. Keep up the amazing work 😊
