Claymore Wines Cellar Door

Had lunch (a lovely charcuterie platter) and wine tasting here. Great start to the day. Our host was friendly and very knowledgeable about both their wines and the region in general. Gave us a dinner recommendation that we are very happy we followed up on (Terroir in Auburn).

Awesome experience. Again, amazing customer service in the Clare Valley. Wines were great as well. Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for ‘value’ wines in the valley. Jonathan, the person who served us, was absolutely amazing. Was able to help with all my needs and went above and beyond. From a ‘hospo’ industry worker, this is as good as it gets for customer service. The thing that summed it up for me, was when I was told there was a better deal if I changed my order slightly - that little detail will probably make me order another case.

Great range of red and white wines served by friendly attentive staff. Also some cosmetics and other giftware etc for purchase.

The host makes this winery! I'm sorry I missed your name (cool coloured hair). Thank you for making my parents and I + doggos feel so welcome. We all enjoyed a great tasting. So convenient that you are located just next door to our caravan park accommodation! We bought four bottles and enjoyed two by the fire last night ;)

So good we visited twice in five days!
The caravan park we stayed at recommended Claymore so we popped in for a late lunch - charcuterie platter. It was excellent, as were the wines. Our host Jonathon was amiable as well as knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. On our last afternoon in the Clare Valley we visited again to replenish stocks for the home cellar. Seems you can't have too much of a good thing!

One of the stops we made whilst cycling the Riesling trail, Claymore had a nice range in their tasting. Friendly service with the option of enjoying the sunshine outside or sitting in doors

Wonderful cellar door with a great running theme for their wines. Knowledgeable and fun staff, Susan was very lovely and helpful with quirky food pairing suggestions which we are certainly going to try. They have some of our favourite local wines like "Bittersweet Symphony" and "Dark Side of the Moon". Highly recommended when visiting Clare Valley.

What a fabulous, real ‘old style’ wine tasting. Jonathan was the perfect host who shared his knowledge of every wine on the card.
Our afternoon was filled with delicious wines, lovely platter, a charming witty, knowledgable and humorous host.
The Rieslings were exceptional and loved their names- very clever titles!
This is a must do wineries for anyone who visits Clare.

Claymore Wines was our first stop on our cycling tour on the Riesling Trail. Not one of the big names but we were both pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly, the charcuterie & cheese platter was tasty and I loved their Montepulciano wine!

Had a great wine tasting, so many wonderful wines to try whilst trying to match the wine names with the artists songs they are named after. Even our dog was warmly welcomed as well. Definitely would recommend for a stop in.

Close to the riesling trail and ideal stop for a drop and a great tasting plate.

Caroline served us the great selection of Claymore red and white wines. She also gave us useful tips for our travels and the region. We definitely recommend going there. The 2019 Riesling is amazing!

Claymore wines are a long time favourite. The winery and staff ( Clarissa) are so lovely. Put an on line order or go in person and and they look after you like family. Just love claymores!

This place is great. Had a great feel and the best service. Carissa was so welcoming and even though we came in at 4:15pm and they closed at 5pm she was more than happy for us to do a tasting, kids in tow. Highly recommend!

So many quality wines to sample here and at very fair prices. Staff were so attentive and knowledgeable. No tasting fee. Another highlight of Clare.

We enjoyed a delicious cheese/meat platter put together by the lovely Flip whilst she showed us the wine tasting. Very happy with our purchase too!
