I am so pleased with the level of personable assistance when I recently visited the Social Studio in Collingwood Yards for clothing alterations. Mich served me, she is so friendly while she explained all the options, and at the time was happy to give a quote. The store is so beautiful and they have many unique designs and gifts to look through while you wait. Looove this place and will definitely be back ❤

Love the sunny new shop at the Collingwood Yards arts precinct with its stock of diverse designers, and the shady urban garden just outside is a dream! The fashion school and manufacturing studio, located upstairs, is also wonderfully spacious and a busy hub for creativity and learning.

The Social Studio, in its new habitat (they relocated from a smaller space in Smith St), remains an exemplar of diversity and inclusion for young people from refugee and new migrant backgrounds and serves as a role model for Melbourne. Congratulations to the team!

PS: they don’t do a cafe anymore - concentrating on the amazing fashion - but lots of good coffee around in the Collingwood Yards!

We first came to The Social Studio in 2010 and now it's a must-visit every year. We'd love to go more often, but we fly over from Adelaide to see our daughter who lives in Melbourne each year, usually in Spring. We love the atmosphere, the beautiful clothes and last but not least, the superb food and delightfully friendly service. We always try to bring our daughter and her partner along too, if they're free, as they are also fans.

One of my favourite places in Collingwood. Coffee and food are really good, the staff is super friendly and it has really nice vibes. Recommended
