Mexican Burrito Cantina

As soon as you step into the restaurant you can already smell Mexico. Heard from my Mexican friends chilaquiles are good but at the end I decided to give the lengua tacos a go (tongue) as they’re my favorite ones.

Simple as tacos in Mexico are. No cream, lettuce or any tex mex fusion, which is great!

My only comment would be that although Birria tacos were okay, the consomé was a bit salty so I couldn’t finish it. Tongue was nice but a bit dry.

I would go back for the churros as they reminded me of my childhood days eating churros with my grandma.

I would definitely come again. I have travelled Mexico extensively and the food at Mexican Burrito Cantina is just like it. They have a range of classic dishes. Excellent service. The food arrived promptly and they can easily cater to any dietary requirements. Great Mexican atmosphere & decorations.

The street tacos are the closest that you can get of authentic mexican flavour, the enchiladas, pozole, fajitas, huarache, steak chilaquiles are recommended

Authentic Mexican restaurant. As soon as you walk in, it feels like you're transported into a beautiful faraway place. The ambience and decor is very detailed and a pleasure to look at.
The service here is incredible and friendly and very welcoming.
The food is so fresh and tasty and authentic and the serving sizes are huge for very decent prices.
There are so many options to choose from, everyone will be happy!
The Burritos were delicious and very filling and fresh.
Pretty much most of the menu can be altered for vegan requirements and they also have a vegan cheese option !! And it tasted great in the burrito.
The seating was spacious and comfortable.
The drinks are delicious and there's lots of variety to choose from.
Definitely give this place a visit if you love food. The ambience alone is worth visiting this place. It's such a fun experience alone or with a group and I will be back in the future for sure !

The staff here are also amazing.
We were quite late for our booking so our table had been given away, but the staff set up a table for us upstairs even though it wasn't due to be open. They were hugely accommodating and good fun too!

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant that exists in Sydney. Absolutely delicious! I have been here multiple times already and have never been disappointed.

The absolute best Mexican food I've found in Sydney! Such friendly service and actually cooked by very talented guys from Mexico City. Tried the chilequiles and enchiladas and both were fantastic. The chips are homemade and unbelievably crispy. Portions are quite large, so good value, and you can adjust the level of spice as well. The salsa verde is so good. Will definitely be back soon!

This is by far my favourite Mexican restaurant in Sydney. Ive visited many times over the last few years and have never been disappionted. The food is genuine and delicious. 12/10.

Authentic Mexican food!!! Great flavour and lots of options to chose from. Friendly staff and good choice of beer and tequila. Nice atmosphere…. I will definitely be back !!!!

The food was great. Very good value for money. The churros were much bigger than expected. Best mexican rice I've ever eaten. Very good atmosphere with authentic decorations. Waiter was very nice and kind spirited.

From the moment my friend and I walked in, our corneas were penetrated by warm hues of colour and cacti. We may as well have been in a tiny desert town in the middle of Mexico. Betty was an absolute delight and darling. She took our orders with pride and charmed the soles off our high top leather boots. She even had a rack for us to put our sombreros whence we entered. She wanted us to be cozy and that we were. She called us her “amigos” and thus we felt like her friends.

The food was spicy but gave tang too. The smell of tequila and lime wofted into my nostrils as I took a shot of premium Mexican tequila from their extensive tequila menu.
The 12inch Quesadilla was enough to fuel a fully grown buffalo, bigger than any other I’ve taken in my time.

We asked the waitress for her 3 recommendations and we got the Quesadilla, Chilaquiles and Enmoladas. All 3 dishes were so amazing! Really good service too. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the dishes

Man oh man this is what Sydney needed. A place that does delicious and authentic styled Mexican food. Everything I had was delicious. I'll oversimplify it and say you need to eat here if you enjoy any kind of Mexican food. Now for a more in depth look.

The location isn't too bad. A bit of a walk from Central but still doable. You walk inside and the decor reminds you of California taquerias. The seating is a bit weird but for the size of the place, is okay. We started off with nachos and sangria. The chips on the nachos were flavourful on their own, but that's not why you order them. You get them for the toppings. Plain and simple and that's how they're meant to be. The sangria wasn't bad, but you'll have much better at other places.

We got a chicken quesadilla to share as well, the flavours were great and everything was crispy. None of this soggy mess places like Mad Mex and Guzman Y Gomez do.

I got a plate of enchiladas, and read that as plural. Places here think an enchilada and a wet burrito are the same, but they're not. MBC does enchiladas justice. The sauce, the stuffing, and ratios were all done correctly. You never miss out on a medley of flavours.

Now I didn't get the chimichanga, but my friends spoke highly of it and would come back for those again.

Again, if you like Mexican food, you need to come here.

Great authentic flavour. The enchiladas are amazing and so is the pozole. Highly recommended, it is a good idea to make a booking, specially on the weekend as they tend to be pretty busy.
