My first time in this place and I’ll say my views:

1-excellent service, I felt very comfortable
2-Excellent quality of products and very varied.
3-And a wonderful taste for good music, you can listen to music from the 50s and 70s that makes that small space a pleasant time.

💜 I’ll be passing by often, see you soon!!

They have a large selection of designer clothes (which explains some of the comments here about the high prices.) Personally I wouldn’t mind paying 90$ for a designer piece, if it was something I was looking for. There are also plenty of cheaper clothes and accessories.

Brilliant op shop with plenty of high quality clothing! There are some pricier items (eg for designer brands) but over all well priced. They have hand sanitiser and capacity limits in place for covid safety.

Was interested to see what this Op Shop had to offer and I'm not going to lie I was shocked at some of the prices. $180 bags. $250 coats. $150 tops. What! And the expensive items weren't in that great shape either. So not sure what going on here, do Brighton op-shoppers really pay these prices? Obviously they must or else shop wouldn't be here. So sure check it out but have deep pockets! Note friendly staff and male volunteer even joked with me that there was a Donald Trump book to buy (this was on day of his indicment).

A bit more pricey than other Op Shops due to location. However the quality of the goods is higher in general.

The shop and staff are lovely but those prices! So many things can be bought new from retailers cheaper than here when they have sales. I was floored by how expensive everything is in here, please reconsider your prices as they’re FAR too high

Outrageous pricing for an op shop

Most expensive op shop I have ever been to. As I walked in, a staff member was scrubbing a stain off an item at the front counter. You would think at the prices they are charging, that the items would be top quality, but just not the case. 3 staff members and not even a hello. Walked out never to return again.

First time to this place…Walked in with my mum only to be treated like a stealer watching me constantly not even a hello and the prices are ridiculous. Just to clarify I have heaps of money in my purse just bcos my clothes don’t fit your standard of ppl walking in (hooded champion jumper and blue jeans) doesn’t mean I’m a stealer like I said I’m loaded and wouldn’t spend $1 at this place. The workers should respect everyone and maybe a smile and hello would be nice. If you don’t want to work there then go home. Disgusting behaviour and never judge a book by its cover.

This happened in late 2022, and I should have reached out at the time. I felt like I'd just be ignored. I hope it never happened again, that but considering it happened at all makes that unlikely. I watched as someone who was homeless came into the store and asked if it would be possible to be given some sweat pants because they couldn't afford them. The staff member said they needed to ask the manager (which I could tell meant no), so when they went to speak with them I followed and told the staff member that if the manager said no, I would pay for the pants. The staff member and manager returned to tell the person to go to a crisis centre in St Kilda - not particularly kindly. The person left immediately, embarrassed and distressed saying they couldn't afford to get there. I was shocked and approached the staff member, asking why they didn't revert to my offer to pay for the pants. Their reply was "Well look at them, they were probably on drugs anyway."

It was disgusting. Your association collects FREE clothes and sells them (at particularly high prices in this store) to supposedly help people who are disadvantaged and homeless. The disconnect between business, function and basic respect in that scenario is insane. Just because you're in Brighton, doesn't mean you can dismiss people as if they're beneath you.

Hopefully there's been some shift since then that makes sure staff treat all people - especially the disadvantaged they're supposed to be supporting - respectfully. It should not be forgotten.

so rude, made my grandma and mum feel like they were stealers the worker wouldn’t stop walking up to us and staring us down. no hello or goodbye either.

Before last lockdown this was very good Opp shop, however since reopening, I don’t know what they think when they price the stuff. Black jumper well worn out , pre-not-loved, despite being cashmere or angora is not worth $80.00. Price of shoes also skyrocketed since reopening. There are two Opp shops in the street, one reasonable, the other cheap as chips. Come down to earth. You not paying for your stock and staff are volunteering. It seems charity is gone out the window, to be replaced with pure greed.
