We got the loaded brisket chips for $18 and the mega tasting plate for $50.

This is the best brisket I’ve had in Australia! The piece we got was really fatty and juicy, wasn’t dry at all. It’s really flavourful and tasty. The pork butt and ribs were pretty good too, they taste great but can be slightly dry. The spicy sausage was delicious too, you get one decent sized one and it’s juicy, flavourful with a slight kick. The mega tasting plate also came with 2 sauces, one with a slight kick and one that’s more savoury, and they both go really well with the meat. So if it’s a bit dry, just douse it in the amazing sauce.

I really liked the salad too. The pickles are really sour which provides a nice balance to the meat, like a palate cleanser. The salad also has celery which adds a lot to it. It’s slightly bitter but not extremely so it gives the salad and extra depth.

We came on a public holiday, so the mega tasting plate was around $60 and the loaded chips were $20, which is still a pretty good price for the amount of food you get. The mega plate was enough to feed the two of us.

Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want some really meaty food. The atmosphere is great, there was live music here, the tables are big and spacious, it’s a nice outdoor environment.

It was a good day to go out and have BBQ for lunch. We got the Mega Tasting Plate, which is a good way to try out their offerings, plus it's good for 2, so it's perfect for sharing. We liked the brisket, pork butt and the spicy sausage. Hubby liked their coleslaw and sauces as well. This is an outdoor venue with a stage where live bands play, there's plenty of tables to enjoy your meal and they even have a small shop where you can buy records and their own merchandise. This is a gem of a place, if you know where to look 😉

We didn’t think it’s big enough serve for 2 when the big tasting plate was ready for pick up, and we were wrong. We were so full and have to take home the leftovers!

Big Earles has a great vibe and the food is delicious. I find some brisket can be dry but not Big Earles! We ordered the loaded fries. The brisket was super juicy and for those that don’t like it too saucy, we ask for it on the side. The slaw was fresh, crunchy and chilled with just the right amount of dressing. They had a DJ playing cool music when we were there and also have live music on some nights. Great customer service, really lovely, super helpful and happy. Overall, a fabulous experience. My partner goes often for his smoking break. I'll be back too.

I was super impressed with this place. I wasn’t sure what to expect based on location but this spot proves looks can be deceiving. Great quality food, very filling. Brisket was super flavourful with a great smoke ring, pork was moist and flavourful, and overall a great vibe and great beers on offer.

It has really good American BBQ dishes. We ordered one serve Mega taster plate and one serve of Ribs, The taste is amazing, paired well with seasoned chips, slaw and pickles. Pork ribs are tasty, but beef turns out a bit dry to me.

Really chill vibe. It offers a variety of table settings for different types of groups and woodfired heating spots for cold days. They also play live music on Saturday.

Tried the Pork Slaw Sandwich. It’s yummy. 18$

The meat is a lot, soft and tender. The buns are soft too. The slaw has that tangy sourly flavour which balance the meat taste. Very good. 👍🏻

The only recommendation I have is: to clean the condiment bottles. I tried so hard putting some sauces in my meal, but they barely came out. 😅

There is no other BBQ restaurant in Melbourne which comes close.

Industrial-like smokehouse and lovely vibes. Brisket sandwich meal with chips is great. Large seating area. Not kid friendly due to open fire places all over. Downside is outdoor dining is only available. Friendly staff.

Delicious! Great American BBQ venue in Port Melbourne. Had the tasting plate to try as many dishes as possible and it was amazing (massive serving, we shared between 3). Other menu options also look really good. A number of outdoor heaters make it a super cosy afternoon even in winter. Live entertainment and pool tables to also keep you entertained.

Great place for lunch. Also great to ad to your weekend activities if you ever want to come to the city and enjoy abit of social.
Brisket loaded Fries is highly recommended

I've been wanting to try Big Earls forever, and I can say the wait was worth it, all the meats were absolutely perfect, great service and the location is fantastic. Can't wait to get back here.

Fantastic place with great food, live music, and beverages. We played a few games of pool and fusbol too. The food is incredible; highly, highly recommended. 😋 We had a mega tasting plate between two, and it was perfect.

Absolutely fantastic! We found Big Earle’s by pure fluke when looking for somewhere new to walk to for lunch and we found a place that might be our new regular!

The ambience is beautiful, like you’re in a commercial zone with loads of open space, firewood, kitsch decorations like flying elephants and cars on the roof. It’s very unique.

The meats were great, for $30 this fed 2 adults and 2 children, the beef was so tender as was the pork, the salad though was surprisingly a big hit as we all wanted more.

Wine was $50 a bottle and terrific quality too. Staff were all knowledgeable and eager to have a chat about the BBQ etc.

On-site there are open fire pits, loads of vegetable gardens that the kids loved looking at. Overall a fab new find and I can imagine it’s perfect for all seasons.

American bbq at its best. Brisket was melt in your mouth with a great selection of local craft beers to wash it down. Even in winter, tons of fires to keep you warm/with pool table and live music to keep you entertained.

Love coming to this place an a nice Friday for lunch. I highly suggest you get here right on 12pm or a little before otherwise you may be waiting a little bit.

Great venue and decor, attentive staff and fast service. The foosball table and live stage microphone🎙help keeping people engaged and entertained, especially the little ones.

Brisket Loaded Fries 🍟
Rich and delicious. Brisket was moist and smoky and coated in a gravy sauce topped with mayo. I loved the generous amount of brisket we got. The fries were fresh and crispy, well seasoned.

Brisket Burger🍔
The picture doesn’t do it justice. Light and airy bun, smoked buttery brisket topped with slaw, served with fries and pickles. So good!
I wish they served tap beer🍺 Smoked meats pair well with it.

We’ll definitely be back for more.

I’ve been waiting a long time to get down here and it lived up to expectations! Well played Big Earle! We got the mega tasting plate. Pork butt and beef brisket was some of the best we’ve had. Although we missed the ribs as they had sold out. Heading back this week earlier to ensure we get to try it
