Our lovely Chinese Gardens are a must see when you visit Young. A lovely area for family picnics and BBQ (provided by the Council). The gardens are Chinese inspired. The pagoda, which has a lovely view over the water, has recently been renovated, the perfect place for quiet contemplation. A path winds around the lake with viewing areas at different intervals. The pathway is lined by rocks and attractive plants. Autumn colours dominate at this time of year. The waterfall and water wheel provide relaxing water music. Ducks, wading birds and swans paddle on the lakes. Dogs are allowed on a leash. Beautiful any time of day.

Beautiful and peaceful garden, well worth a visit! It's free, has barbeques available and picnic chairs. There's plaques telling you about local history. It's lovely.

This is a gorgeous location with public toilets, plenty of parking, some picnic tables and lots of grass to lay out your picnic rug. The garden is across the bridge and is a lovely oasis of birds, a temple, rose bushes, natives, a waterfall, water lilies', quiet little spots to sit and contemplate the reflective pool. There are microbats living in the trees and lots of photographic opportunities. Its not far from Young, definitely put this on your list of places to visit!

What a beautiful and peaceful place. Congratulations to those who built it with hard work and those who maintain it. Barbecues are very clean and so are the grounds.

Nice relaxed park just out of town.
Great for a picnic lunch and stroll through the relatively small but nicely designed and maintained Chinese style gardens

The gardens are rich with history and a serene atmosphere. The plants provide a calm contrast to the relative chaos of various birds and swans swimming around the waters.

This is a place to bring the family for a picnic or BBQ and learn about some Australian history.

Gardens were very well laid out. They are not large but well worth the visit. Roses were out with lovely aromas, baby swans and ducks and others still nesting.

Nice place to relax by the lake and have a walk around the Chinese garden. They have some benches around for people to picnic as well. It was so much cooler by the lake even on a hot summer day
