Green Ivy Cafe

Fabulous breakfast - fresh, delicious produce, generous serves. Great menu. The cafe has a large courtyard with umbrellas, perfect on a warm day. Green Ivy is also dog friendly!

Stopped en route from Bathurst to Gundagai. What a fabulous establishment. Early January, hot day with a baby in tow. Lots of options for seating, inside in an old historic building, on the cool verandah or out on the patio under the shade umbrellas. Quick, easy service with a great range on the menu. Personally I don’t make a habit of eating seafood any further than 50km from the sea but I’m so glad I did here with the garlic prawn salad. Clean modern toilets with a change table located in the womens toilets.

Up from Sydney for the weekend and so delighted to find this cafe. Fantastic outdoor setting and the coffee is excellent!

The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is serene. We arrived just when the kitchen was closing at 2pm. The kitchen staff agreed to stay open to accommodate us. While there aren't many options for vegans they will gladly alter their menu to accommodate. The food was also really tasty.
The courtyard is great with lots of greenery and shaded areas to sit. However there are tables inside.

I feel compelled as a long time patron and resident-of Young to give a true representation of this wonderful little gem, that is Green Ivy Cafe.
This Cafe’ deserves a much higher rating!
The food, the service, the coffee and overall atmosphere of this cafe’ is lovely.
Anyone going through Young should definitely drop in and have a look. You won’t be sorry!
