The restaurant is nice and the staff is friendly.

Ordered the Satay chicken skewers and the Singapore Noodles. Both dishes very tasty.

Just a bit disappointed with the noodles as it came with only 2 prawns.

I have just picked up some food from here and it is absolutely amazing. The flavours and spices are just right. Staff are lovely and the order did not take long to cook, amazing really. Definitely pick this restaurant if you want authentic flavours! Yummy

4.5* Really delicious food (probably due to it being laced with salt/sugar/msg). Great for a dirty (in a good way) classic chinese/malaysian takeaway fix. The beef with bitter melon, chicken ribs and roti with chicken curry came to $46 so good value. Quick service, good place for casual lunch/dinner.

MAY TAKEAWAY UPDATE - of course takeaway will never be as fresh/good/hot as dining in but I do NOT get the 'Singapore noodles'. These are nothing like they should be - no curry powder, no char siu and more of a pad thai flavour.

The Yam Net with kongpao chicken is one of my most favourite that is super yummy and big enough for 3-4 persons sharing

Located is a residential area in an quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service. Food is delicious here. I had the kung pao tofu on rice and vegetarian mee goreng. Both dishes tasted very good. There are plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. The kids are provided kids tableware and cutlery. They have high chairs available for kids as well.

Went to this suburb for the first time late evening and saw this restaurant still open and has a good ratings. We dont regret dining in here.

Loved the fried chicken ribs and sambal kangkong, would recommend those dishes! Food didn't take long to come out but FOH service was a bit slow since there was only one person out. You can sort of self-service by taking the menu and seating yourselves, then ordering at the register instead of waiting around for the wait staff to attend to you.

Born with a South East Asian taste buds, I must say this restaurant has met my expectation. It tasted really great, with a decent price and friendly and considerate staff. Parking area, restroom, high chair are available which is very suitable for family with children as well as seniors.

The Curry Fish head and hot plate tofu were so delicious that we couldn’t have expected more.

The taste is so close to those in Malaysia that you can’t tell the difference. The 3colour dessert is savoury.

We have tried Malaysian food across Melbourne, and even interstate - Sambal Kampung will always be one of our absolute favourites! Definitely the best one within the Melbourne area for sure!

Always wanted to try here. Was pretty impressed. Serving size was perfect for me and husband. Laksa was surprisingly big serving. Every dish was Nice and flavourful.

Great portions, good flavour and affordable prices. Favourite dishes are chicken rib fried rice, Singapore hokkien noodles, tofu & prawn noodles.

Very good option for Maribyrnong locals. Service it's ok. Food was very tasty. We got butter prawns, seafood laksa and tossed vegetables. All good and very reasonable price. Would like to come back to taste some other dishes like a type of hainanese chicken and a sort of steamed fish with soy freshly cooked from an aquarium in the restaurant. A big yes for this local restaurant.

I ordered the chicken curry laksa. It was very tasty with a decent amount of chicken pieces. It wasn't very spicy at all.

The venue itself is an unassuming, no frills suburban restaurant and perfect for quick lunch or dinner.

Service was prompt and efficient.

My pick for best Laksa in Melbourne! I’m moving out of Maribyrnong and Sambal Kampung Laksa is without a doubt what I’m going to miss the most!! I was having it once a week for two years! Do yourself a favour and try it! They are also very flexible and you can request vegetarian laksa :)

Greta place. Service is average but the food is great. Their curry laksa would easily rival the neighbouring Laksa King, and I would even say better on some occasions.

The 3 dishes I ordered brings me back to Malaysia !!!! Especially the beef rendang. Yum yum yum.

Unreal. Got takeaway from here and I can't tell you how good it was. The roti is flakey and buttery and perfect. The flavours, insane. And delivered perfectly nothing was spilled. Will be a new go-to food.

First time this afternoon 5 star for everything food was absolutely delicious will be a regular visitor there can’t wait to try more dishes if in the area I would recommend to try it
