Knox Street Bar

Hands down, by far one of Sydney's hidden and quirkiest bars not far from Central & Redfern! Bjorn and the crew were very gracious in hosting our collab DJ & Drinks social group on relatively short notice with very easy equipment setup while booking the entire venue. A must-visit to check out how one converted his garage into a public establishment.

A mix of bar specials, standards and other drinks... even 0% alcohol, in an eclectic subterranean environment that is a bar. Cool!

I had a Golden Boy, three rum mix with ginger, cinnamon sugar flamed and other components. Very tasty!

In an excellent location, this bar has charm on every surface. From the led mop heads to the orange plastic water fountain, there's so much to look at. And then there are the drinks! The owner and bartender that served me were super friendly and helpful. I tried out the cocktail wheel and had the pleasure of trying a garage slapper made with honey from hives kept on the top of the building, it was delicious. There's a classic bar area, a little hideaway room (that could be a former dungeon or recording studio) and a dancefloor. Highly recommend this place as a local haunt, tourist must see and perfect private venue. Thanks again for an incredible night 🥰

Quirky, fun, entertaining, raucous little bar. Does amazing cocktails and it’s an entertainment space too. Never had a bad time at Knox Street. Recommended.

Great small bar with lots of character, a lot of effort has gone in the decorations. Has a large on tap beer selection and plenty of cocktail variations to try. I would definitely come back.

Amazing range of cocktails, great sound, eclectic decor, honestly I couldn’t imagine it getting any better. Highly recommend the Whiskey Sour which has a generous serving of fresh honeycomb from their own bees, or the This is my Jam with candied watermelon!! yum!! Can’t wait to return

An amazing eclectic hidden gem

I was fortunate enough to meet Presley at the bar tonight. She was incredible. Hands down the most personable waitress I have had the privilege of meeting. This is a great venue, but this lady is great at her job and makes it that much easier to thoroughly enjoy yourself on a night out. If the owners are reading this, she’s your backbone, cherish her :)

Amazing little venue, some spectacular cocktail, a wheel to slin for a random cocktail at discounted prices, fresh honeycomb from the beehives kept on the premises. Amazing service and some really cool little live music and electronic music nights.

Knox St Bar is all in all is a spectacular little spot if you're out the Chippendale way.

Great little bar, hidden away from the main street. Minutes from Central train station and with street parking available in the area - it's very convenient. AMAZING INTERIORS: with car seats, parts of planes, parts of what may be hairdresser salon furniture - it's incredible and they even have a private little room that's like a cave. Seriously! It's worth checking out - I haven't come across anything else in Sydney like it.They have an amazing eclectic food menu (local [from their roof top!] bee's honey, locally sourced cheeses and meats, and fancy breads). Although not a huge menu - what is on it, is boutique meets deli meets farmers market meets homely pub grub. It's odd and works! They also have great live burlesque-like shows and the staff are super bubbly and passionate about the place. Always feel good going here. If you're looking for somewhere for a great bite, drink, quirky surrounds and conveniently located - this is it!

This little bar looks amazing! Food is delicious. Drinks are great. Service is top notch. Also they have great regular events here such as The Oyster Club, which I frequent. Highly recommend checking this gorgeous place out!

I’ve been to queer cabaret and drag king events here it’s a lovely space. Wheelchair accessible except for bathrooms

Went on a Friday, Bar staff were lovely and helpful in recommending drinks, hopefully I will be back one day 100% recommended, cute and hidden away too!

Really cool, underrated trendy bar. Really solid food and drinks options, nice staff, incredible decor/funky sculptures around. Also a great venue for small shows, like stand-up/sketch comedy.

Great little bar. Not always heaving, but the bar staff are great and the drinks are top shelf. Sit down with the owner for a great chat about life in Inner Sydney. Get there before 9 and grab one of the amazing and unique Scandinavian hotdogs which are to die for!

Love this place!! Amazing food + cocktails plus the most friendly, welcoming staff. Had my 30th birthday here with 80 people and Bjorn went out of his way to accommodate every request and make it an epic night. Would highly recommend for functions or a quiet drink! Cocktail wheel is a must! :)
