Manning Bar

Went to a show here recently and was heavily pregnant. The show was a standing event only but due to my circumstances they accommodated and had a seat organised for me when I got there. The staff were all great to deal with and it was a smooth process. It meant I was able to see one of my favourite bands I’ve waited years to see. Made my year. I can’t thank the manning bar enough!

I’ve always loved coming to see bands at Thr Manning bar. Such a great venue to see live music! Staff were great and courteous. Had I known they had done food I would have ordered something to eat there too! Hope to see more gigs there in the future.

Fun night seeing Marsh, venue security was pretty good, not too intrusive

Nye was great, staff and security did a great job. On-site "food truck" was nice but the bathroom facilities did not handle the amount of people well at all.

Real great pat is a great manager, took care of the venue and its patrons, definetly looking forward to coming back, great space and best of all the venue has different elevations so you can see the stage from anywhere

Great medium sized venue…. Saw D-A-D last week and had a blast 32 years in the making. I chose the side of stage, but any angle gets a relatively good view of due to elevated levels. Public transport, Taxi or Uber is the best way to get there as parking is non existent.

Saw Kora and Black Seeds live at the Manning. Amazing little venue. Intimate with plenty of room to watch.

A brilliant outdoor venue, right in the middle of the city

Great concert place, so small you can see great from everywhere, good sound ! In the heart of Sydney uni, would dfntly go back!

great wee (well, medium sized) gig space with pretty darn decent sound for its size. drink prices and range fairly run of the mill uni bar styles. due to the layout i generally find it more enjoyable up to three quarters capacity. importantly, staff and security have always been beyond sound to me and anyone i've been with. big ups. never had a bad night out (especially when frenzal are playing 😊).

I don't go for just regular drinks but always for Return to Rio Events and I am never disappointed. The sound quality is phenomenal and the way the stages are laid out works really well. Lighting and decorations on point. Toilets thankfully respected by most patrons. The only improvement would be to provide water on all sides instead of just one. And make sure they're all in working order. And water towards the exit so people can leave feeling hydrated and therefore have one less thing to worry about on their way home.

And maybe hire staff that enjoy the genre. Not a fan of being served by nonchalant staff who all they ever listen to is heavy metal. Which is fine. But what the hell are you doing at a big name dj set, torturing yourself for 6+ hours? You're just ruining the mood.

Great place to watch a show or to just hang put. Food is excellent and staff is super friendly. The sound quality there is amazing!

As a single female attending an even, I didn't feel unsafe at all, although I do recommend leaving with everyone else so you have other people around when walking to your car, but campus is well lit and heaps of students still around quite late, even on the weekend, would definitely come back here again

Great venue. Excellent layout for the stage, big bar and always a lively crowd. Brilliant, friendly staff too.
