This is our go-to for small goods. The meat pies are amazing, especially the black pepper beef. We take them home to keep in the freezer and they are always soooo good. Also regularly buy ham, bacon, pancetta, chorizo and salami and never had a bad experience. My kids said the twiggy sticks are the best!

this was the most wonderful experience of not only Prahran Markets but Melbourne! the stylish Emma curated this amazing platter which was an absolute hit! there food was incredible and service second to none. Anyone who's looking for the real market Melbourne experience will be greatly missing out if you don't pay her a visit at Barossa Fine Foods :)

I just discovered the "Pork Crackle Shards" and WOW! A delightful product, unlike the heavily processed packets of pork flavoured rice crisps that consider themselves as pork crackling, Barossa Fine Foods have mastered the real deal. Real pork rind, roasted not fried and with the true taste & consistency of fresh crackling from a good cooked roast pork. I love this product and will be back for more. Locate the Pork Crackle Shards at your local Woolworths.

Fantastic smallgoods, the smoked liverwurst is lovely, and the gypsy ham is best of type!

The steak and kidney pie filling was really good, with nice pieces of beef chucks. The pie crust was a little unique, tasted different but not horrible. A little pricey for pies though

Bought 50 slices of sopressa salami which was sliced on the spot. Got home only to open the packaging and find it was very poorly sliced to the point we couldnt use half of it on our presentation platter (not full slices, sliced too thin so it was all in broken pieces). Anyone could have done it better… Wont shop there again.

Good mix of pies and similar goods. Looses a point for staff being very slow and one for a bit of inconsistencies but overall pretty ok!

Deli items are quite good and there's a large selection of hams and cheeses. I've noticed the prices have gone through the roof since the covid restrictions were eased and all the sliced deli items have no marked prices. The precooked foods are unbelievably expensive and I tend to walk passed now.
Also, this concept of refusing to accept cash is just ridiculous and I suspect many customers who don't like paying with a credit card will walk on by. Not to mention the 1.4% surcharge to use your credit card.

I bought 250g of sliced Porchetta roast @ $69/kg, looked beautiful, BUT sadly it doesn’t taste good, it has Boar taint. Not offensive to everyone, but a quality product should be made only from meat from female pigs.

I went here with a friend. She went to pay and offered cash. They said “sorry we don’t accept cash!”. So she said “okay I will pay on my card”. They then charge a card surcharge! Ridiculous!
So clearly no way to avoid the surcharge. Disgusting and a rort. You either give your customers the option to pay with cash or card or you remove the card surcharge. This is highway robbery and we won’t be returning as locals. We went to 6 other beautiful vendors In the Prahran market with amazing produce and they all accepted cash. Clearly this owner can’t be bothered with counting cash (less overheads) but still wants to make a profit off card transactions. And don’t tell me it’s a bank surcharge as I’m certain he puts a topping up to the banks surcharge (and blames the banks).

Paid $20 for 180 grams of seasoned pork on the weekend. There are no prices on the goods had I known it cost 100 bucks a kilo I would have gone to the butchers and bought some eye fillet instead. No receipt offered upon payment either.

Purchased what was advertised to be a beef bourguignon pie from Prahran market today for our family dinner. Unfortunately it was VERY disappointing. No vegetables, fatty meat and totally unseasoned gravy. A footy pie has more flavour!!! Will not buy from here again.

A digusting experience. The Polish sausage was fatty and tasteless and the Fritz was similar. I bought 250g of German ham, 300g Polish sausage and a sausage roll with about $9.00 change from $50.00. When I requested a receipt, I was advised the printer was not working. Pity the Melbourne franchise of Barossa Foods is so bad
