WonWon Bear Cafe Japanese Fusion

Our second meal here since the new menu. We had udon with the soft shell crab, (includes a very delicious gooey egg), vegetarian gyoza, and octopus balls. Last time I had the vegetarian udon with mushrooms. Everything has been delicious. The new chef is a bit of a find, and we're looking forward to working through the menu. The prices are reasonable, and the coffees are good too. At last, a local café that reminds me of Japan, serving food I want to eat.

Breakfast felt healthy and satisfying. I enjoyed the textures of whipped goats cheese and avocado and the slightly cooked tomatoes on the avo smash, and the hot cake wasn’t overwhelmingly huge but tasted great with the figs and berries.

Food was really well presented and the coffee was great.

I love this place! I go here every morning for my coffee. The coffee is SO good and my partner and I are snobby about the coffees we like! It’s after becoming our fav place to go.
Also the pastries are delicious. I really love the Baclava and Galaktoboureko! The Galaktoboureko is made by a local pastry chef too which is cool that’s it’s not mass produced for a more sustainable approach. I also recommend the Spanakopita and Chilli Egg Scramble.
The crew who work here are so lovely, they’ve created a real community feel with only under a year of opening ☺

I love the new management as she is kind caring and tries to address any issues quickly. I love the new food too and my coffee continues to be extra hot. Thank you !

In my two weeks in Melbourne, I went here three times

The coffee was delicious and the prawn pasta was outstanding!

The team are so friendly and they have created a lovely atmosphere.

Met a friend for coffee and lunch, both were delicious. We ate inside were it was nicely air conditioned, but the terrace outside looked very nice too. It was quiet for a Saturday, the staff very friendly and attentive. It was challenging to get a parking spot nearby - better to arrive via the train or by walking.

Rating five stars for two delicious varieties of biscuits which were out of this world and reasonably priced. Very kind staff as well. Will grab a coffee and something more substantial next time. Very cool to have such a quality cafe adjacent a train station! Any closer and it'd be on the platform!

This place is a little deceptive. You'd think it's just a little cafe, but it's so much more. The food here is excellent, the perfect place for a brunch or breakfast. On a warm day, there's plenty of seating outside. Or just drop in for some great coffee (they have a jumbo size, so you're not just getting a tiny sip) and a sandwich for takeaway or maybe some baklava. Honestly can't recommend it enough.

If there's any downside, it's that parking might be difficult. There are a few spots in the roundabout, but otherwise the best way to get here is via train (since Toorak station is right next door).

Eggs your way with toasted buttered Sourdough plus extras bacon. The 30 minute wait was well worth it even though it was a quiet morning yesterday. Strangely listening to 50 reasons to be happy on the ABC yesterday when I found this neatly tucked away cafe amongst high rise apartments. I found 8 reasons to be happy.

A delightful little spot in an excellent location offering a broad offering of cafe-style and dine-in options. The gregarious and personable staff are a reason to keep returning in their own right. Unreservedly recommend.

Always looks after me and my family. Food is delicious coffee is nice, service is great. Recommend popping in for dinner when you get the chance.

Great cafe, great coffee and awesome food.
An elegant interior setting thats very neat and clean. A nice variety of food that is all quite tasty. A noteable standout is their "breakfast burger" that has to be the best you can get within the neighbouring suburbs and a serious contender for best in Melbourne.
Personal shout out to the staff and especially the owner who is a legend. They will always make you feel welcomed. Cheers guys

They have a good selection of foods and sweets.

After trying many great coffees around this area I was sceptical to try a new coffee and brunch place. But I’ve certainly found the BEST oat latte thanks to Tele and the team! Highly recommend.

Will not find a cafe close to this in the area with people as nice as they are behind the counter. So friendly in there at 8 Reasons. Would highly recommend. Beautiful food and great coffee. Teli and the Girls are fantastic.
