This is literally the middle of nowhere. There are no amenities nearby. It's easy to find as there's nothing else around. There is no mobile reception at all.
We visited in October so it was very quiet and the weather wasn't great.
Stock up with whatever you need before you arrive, especially food.
We only stayed 1 night after visiting the St Claire NP. We arrived in the early evening and Gloria checked us in and gave us a carafe of port. We then went to our cabin and stayed there the rest of the night. When it's nighttime the area is pitch black due to location and there's nowhere to go anyway.
The cabin was much better than expected. Clean and comfortable with all necessary items including logs stacked ready for the stove. We lit the log stove and within an hour the heat it gave off was incredible.
We drank tea and wine and the port and ate the food we'd brought with us. The WiFi worked well enough for browsing the internet but not for watching anything.
The shower was surprisingly powerful and little toiletries were provided. The bed was also comfy and had electric blankets and plenty of extra blankets if needed. The area was completely silent so I had an excellent night's sleep.
I'm a city girl and this was quite a fun novelty experience for me. If you don't like the idea of being in a cabin in the middle of nowhere then it might not be for you.

Beautiful cottages that are luxuriously
equipped, including coffee maker. Gorgeous deck with views of the garden & drenched in afternoon sun. Very friendly staff & customer service dog. Peaceful place. Just a little out of the way & no discernible services immediately nearby but if you're self-catering, you're set. Not really cheap.

Definitely a nice place to revisit. Friendly and informative host Gloria. Large, clean and cozy space for family. Well equipped kitchen that able to cook with a dish washer. Washing machine. Fire place is amazing!

Arrived after a long day of sight-seeing to a warm comfortable spacious cabin. The host gave us complimentary port which I am now sipping on while eating biscuits and cheese. The cabins are so well set up that I feel I could stay here for days rather than the overnight stay we have planned. Must be incredible staying here over winter as it has the rural feel I love. A real getaway.
One thing that surprised me was my Telstra network phone had full bars.
Our group staying here are 55+. If you are a family and the kids have bikes, they could certainly ride them around here as there is no traffic.
Do bring your own food as there are no shops. Kitchen is well equipped, tonight I'm cooking stir fry.

Sept 2023. What an amazing place to stay overnight. Gloria is a great host and explained everything for me. Even let me know what to expect with the weather the next day. I stayed in cabin 2 and walked in to a beautifully warm cabin as the fire had been lit for me. Had also received a small bottle of port to have for dinner. Kitchen well stocked. Only problem i had was i didnt want to leave. I will definitely come back to here

We enjoyed our stay lots of lagoons and lakes in area. You must have a full tank and bring your own supplies but accommodation is excellent and the host very helpful.

Stayed overnight at a week appointed cottages with a week equiped kitchenette with hob and microwave. Bed and shower were both great and there was a lovely deck at the back of the cottage. Even though it was not far from the road it was quiet. Staff very friendly and the free laundry was most useful. Loved the complimentary port. All in all a good place to stay.

What a gem! The cabin was a perfect stop-over whilst we explored Tassie. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very cosy, especially with a fire place! We received such a warm welcome - we were hours late to check-in, but our host not only waited for us,but had turned on the heater and had a fire blazing for our arrival. Would recommend.

What a lovely stay, with a warm welcoming from Gloria at reception to start us off. She has great knowledge of the local area.

The Luxury Spa Cabin 5 was so warm & comfortable I couldn’t pick a fault. 2 rooms with a queen size bed in each. Spacious kitchen and a comfortable couch and flat screen tv also including your own little laundry. The best part was the hot woodfire and the dry wood stacked with kindling outside on the porch. I highly recommend this accommodation and set it provides. Thanks again Gloria for the warm welcoming stay 👋

Loved this hidden away accommodation off the beaten track - the owner Gloria was so lovely and friendly, the cabin was clean and new and had all the amenities, bed was super comfortable and location was very peaceful and private, we loved the welcome wine and homemade port - was a delight to stay. One of our favourite spots on our road trip!

We think we were lucky to find this place. The cabin was beautifully presented with everything possible provided for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and such things as fire wood, tea, coffee and condiments were plentiful. It was as we imagined, rural, quiet and staff were friendly.

The best accommodation on our lap by far starting with Gloria who made our stay special with a friendly welcome and great advice on local attractions also our room was perfect with the heater on for our arrival and every eventuality catered for the visit from the baby wombats was bucket list stuff highly recommended

We cannot comment on anything other than just how empathetic Gloria was to our situation. We were stuck in NZ due to cyclone Gabrielle, so obviously could not get to Tassie.
Gloria was so compassionate and gave us a full refund.
We will definitely stay at Highland Cabins and Cottages at Bronte Park if at all possible.

We totally loved this place staff are extremely helpful and friendly the cottages were clean well-equipped and would comfortably fit a family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone especially those who would like just to get off the grid and spend some nice quiet relaxing comfortable time away from everything and everyone. A wood heater was wonderful and warm to the place greatly. Support was an extra bonus. And the visit from the wildlife lady with the baby animals was just wondering for both kids and adults alike.

Stopped by Bonte Park for a night on our way to Cradle Mountain. It's a quiet and lovely place to stay although no mobile coverage for Optus. What's exceptional is the service and hospitality of the host. Gloria is such a kind and caring lady and provides good travel advice / tips. (Thanks for the comfortable stay!) Jenny, another lovely lady helps to rescue animals/joeys on the road (the main road after sunset was rather busy with lotsa animals esp. pademelons). You could check out the cutie pie wombat joey if she's around.

Amazing cabins. Little to no mobile service and they are super tight with their wifi allowance (150MB for 2 days!). So expect to unplug - bring cards. The fire was so warm we even had to crack a window.
