We were fortunate to be here when an Hydro employee arrived to conduct inspection of the Adit. He provided us with interesting information regarding the building remains, the canal to Poatina and the Adit operational purpose. The views over the farming plains on one side and the monolithic rock formations on the other, make this spot a 'must return to' for us.

This place gives one of the best views of the valley in Tasmania. It has zero facilities though as it is actually just an entry for Hydro.

Great rest stop with fantastic views on a clear day. The pipeline headwater tunnel at the start of the fastest generated electricity in the southern hemisphere, Great Lake, Poatina and Brumbys Creek.

Unfortunately the day we went up to the lakes it was very smoky because of controlled burning so we weren't able to enjoy the views as clearly as we would have liked
