Golden Harvest Bakery

Dropped in early this morning with steak bacon cheese pie on my mind but that plan changed when i saw a hot chilli pie. I took the pie 5 minutes up the road to Laidley Golf Club and was instantly impressed with the flavour of the filling. Not overly spicy but the flavour was there. The pastry had good integrity and was soft and buttery. Not a nassive pie but enough for me. A tradie or truckie might go for 2.
Stopped into the clubhouse after 12 holes to top up my esky and noticed the golf club had the same pies in there warmer. They only had plain beef but i thought id give it a go. It was equally as delicious. No sauce needed. After the 18th hole i spotted a sausage roll in the warmer that looked like it had the same pastry on it. I really am not a lover of sausage rolls because I've had too many that are dry with hard dry pastry. This was the opposite, soft tasty tender sausage filling and nice flavours with delicious pastry. A hidden gem in the country is this bakery.
The staff were friendly and polite.
Would love to know where else sells these as its a little out of the way if travelling through to Toowoomba.

Stopped here 27/9/23 after fasting for pathology.
Had a piglet and black coffee ☕.
And i was greeted and served by 2 of the nicest young ladies.
Hats off to the younger generation 👏

Great selection of cakes. Good coffee. Date caramel slice was beautiful, not too sweet.
Update, had the large apple turnover with cream yesterday. Easily the best I've ever had, light pastry, plenty of filling. They're also huge.

Nice quiet, little bakery. Pies were nice and the coffees were hot. The chocolate doughnuts were nice too. Would reccommended for a quick bite on the way through town on a Sunday morning

Best place for a feed!!!. Spoil yourself and have one of their delicious slices. The latte slice is unbelievably yummy!!!. The pies and milkshakes are great too. Friendly staff, my favourite place to frequent on holidays.

Steak, bacon and cheese pies with mushy peas are delicious. The bread remains fresh and soft.
I'm not going to mention the jam and FRESH CREAM doughnuts except to say that it is a shame they run out sometimes.

One thing I had to meet myself is nothing worse than drive in the car for hours and say hard to find a good pie shop the Golden harvest bakery kesavan when I got there it was half empty. The pie is 10 out of 10, but do you have the best pies in the country and they are great variety

Laidley Golden Harvest Bakery has lovely staff & a smaller selection of sweet n savoury treats. Their curry pie & vanilla slice are simply the best. The custard in the vanilla slice is amazing! The prices are reasonable for generous sized slices & pastries.

Great service , open early foods great , recommend cheese and bacon sausage roll 💯 , chicken garlic pies are amazing so are the cheese n bacon pull aparts

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Such a beautiful selection of desserts and pies. We got the Curry pie, mince pie with mushy peas, 3 x Sesame Street character cupcakes, large apple turnover and a couple of drinks. Forgot to take photos as the kids got stuck into everything straight away. Absolutely delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAKERY!!! 😄

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT go by without having a bacon cheese sausage roll. I like to think of myself as a sausage roll expert and these are "next level". Sandwiches are really nice as well

The best bakery in town by far, freshly made sandwiches and rolls everymoring, great to drop in early before work. Love their pies and sausage rolls. Also very friendly staff. Highly recommend

This is my favourite bakery in the Lockyer Valley.
Their food is good and reasonably priced.

Their caramel slice is the best that I've ever had.

Love their potato pie. Only place I have ever found that makes a decent potato pie. So glad I drove all the way from Brisbane to my home town

Usually quite busy which affects the availability of pastries sometimes but otherwise a good bakery

Excellent service, much better than the other bakery across the road.
