Not easy to get there but as soon as you exit from the car you are in a magical place . Full untouched nature fresh clean spring water surrounded by mountains, sound and breeze... just awsome!!!

Beautiful mountainous heavily wooded forests, too many locked gates but it's hard for beaurocrats to open the gates and give us freedom of our own Forests

Beautiful park, there are a lot of 4WD trails to explore. Snow at the right time of year, camping and rivers. A great way to get from weejasper / yass to canberra

3 large camping areas beside running water with well managed grassy areas and deep shade sites. Can get busy during long weekends but very quiet and relaxed in between times. Only 1hour 20minutes from Canberra over winding mountain road.

Just a short drive from Canberra. Great for a day trip or over nighter. McIntyres Hut, Lowalls Flat and Flea Creek camp grounds have nice swimming holes. The tracks to these camp grounds are steep and I would not like to try them in the wet. Camper trailers are not advised by parks staff but one in our party had no problem up or down to Flea Creek ( not raining though). Toilets at these 3 sites were impeccably clean and did not smell. The 4WDing in area is not particularly hard in the dry. 2 vehicles in our party had standard suspension and all terrain tyres no problems.

Absolutely beautiful park with spectacular views of the Mountains, not wheelchair friendly and best to have a 4wd vehicle though a AWD would do it comfortable as well, campgrounds are good, toilets at campgrounds, good track throughout.

We've been camping down the Brindabella Valley by the creek and have been doing it for years with no fuss. Such a beautiful area for family's and kids.
The reason for this review is that we had the local farmer Mr Franklin trying to scare us off from camping here. It all started when he drove down to us and mentioned the No Camping and No Motorbike sign's posted up on the high side of the road (which is located in a non floodplain area) We are located on the green grass area which is a floodplain area so camping is allowed. Anyway a few things to mention not just this, the phone number on the No Camping sign does not work and rings to nothing. We also had a visit not only by the Parks and Wildlife Service but also the police who also mentioned it was OK to camp in this area.
Do not let this guy try scare you off this beautiful valley that should be shared by all.
All I ask is to be respectful and clean up after yourself so valley's like this can be used in the future.
