The Mainstay Farmstay

I had an unforgettable stay with friends at Henka's farm. The cabins were complete with thoughtful touches and outdoor showers, so you could cool off surrounded by the peaceful scenery. We loved our evenings dining under the stars and spending afternoons reading on the porch and spotting kangaroos. Henka is a delightful and welcoming host - she was so accommodating and responsive in the lead up and during our stay. Thank you Henka for creating such a magical retreat – we hope to come back and visit again!

My friends and I stayed at Henka’s property just after Christmas in 2022. It is such a gem - feels secluded and private, has thoughtful touches and would be a great property to stay in for couples, families or a group of friends. Excellent location and a very friendly, warm and welcoming host. Couldn’t recommend more.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Mainstay Farmstay! The place was incredibly clean and beautiful. The kitchen was packed with essentials, anything you may need to cook up a good meal. It was so beautifully decorated and homey with an indoor fireplace. There was even a nearby shed where you could find board games and supplies for fun activities. There was always a large supply of firewood that's a one-minute walk away, and they even had two little flashlights for when it's dark out. The owner was also really lovely and communicative, reaching out to us with instructions prior to our arrival. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a private, peaceful getaway with a view of the Milky Way!

My boyfriend and I stayed here as a weekend getaway for my 24th Birthday. Our stay was absolutely amazing!
A beautiful location met with a beautiful cabin.

From the amazing amenities including the indoor fireplace through to the little details of crocheted blankets and comforting decor. We truly felt at home.

I adored the shack and the selection of games and activities, the greenhouse full of beautiful sprouting plants and timber shed to collect our firewood. Was fun to look around and be able to explore the property.

If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with your partner or family away from the hustle bustle, this is the place to go!

Henka is a lovely host, with such a passion to make her guests feel warmly welcome. We were so happy with our stay and would love to come back!!!

I've stayed here twice - it's an excellent location and very comfortable spaces! The amenities more than met my needs. The hosts are also wonderful - very responsive and engaged.

I loved that the cabins are so peaceful and relaxing, but also a very quick drive to the iconic Seal Rocks beaches (one of my favorite areas of Australia)! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing family holiday at The Mainstay Farmstay. There was plenty of space for us all, equipped with everything you need and beautifully styled.

Close to different beach options, if you're looking for the best surfing beaches or want to relax in the calm crystal blue waters at Seal Rocks. We also did the walk to the lighthouse, which was a great morning activity.

A highlight was waking up with the sunshine coming through the windows, the birds singing and then seeing the kangaroos jumping past the cabin.

Highly recommend The Mainstay, we left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and had some great family connection time.

Never stayed there but it's just up the road and so close to Neranie and Seal Rocks... so you simply could not go wrong. Under new ownership and management too. I met Henke and she seems pretty cool 😎

This was an amazing stay for the whole family. We spent Xmas eve and couple more days around in one of the cabins and it was just perfect. Cosy, minimalistic, tasteful. Very peaceful. The beaches close by and the landscape were so incredible. We hope to return soon.

Henna is such an excellent host of these fabulous cabins. Exactly what we go to seal rocks for and so well kept along with some really homely touches! Highly recommend if you want to get away and switch due to no wifi or reception.

Absolutely love this place! I have stayed here 3 times now - solo and with friends and family. It is near my favourite beach ever but in a quiet location away from tourists. It is designed so well with so many special touches that you notice over your stay and just appreciate. I love spending all day just laying and reading and switching off. There is a games room with books as well and lovely Italian beauty products to purchase. I never want to leave. Cannot recommend highly enough!! You must see it for yourself.

This place is a little gem. If you’re after peace and quiet and a restful break off the grid, look no further. The space is wonderful, the host has though about it all, with extra towel, soaps, games, books etc. There are great facilities such as a washer dryer, yoga mats and work out gear in the shed and lots of wildlife around. Do yourself a favour. Would stay again and recommend!

The mainstay is a glorious place to get away from your troubles and relax. It’s beautifully set up, has everything you need, the hosts respond immediately and are so lovely to communicate with. The grounds are calming to walk around and pick local flowers, plants and fruit, spot the local kangaroos, and it’s a quick drive to some beautiful beaches. Highly recommend staying here!

We had an amazing stay with Henka at the farmhouse she was so helpful and responsive she went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay ! The location is lovely and perfect for exploring seal rocks and it’s surroundings definitely one of my favourite places.

Lovely place near a really awesome surfing area with impressive beach. We only had a short but great stay. The place is equipped with everything we needed for living, cooking, enjoying. Wifi signal a bit low and barely reception but that’s part of the experience, right??

This place is unreal. From the moment we arrived we managed to unwind. The location is second to none, the styling and fit out is like something from an interior magazine- thoughtful and quirky touches everywhere. It is sparkling clean and some of the best beds ever. This place is magic.

A gorgeous, rustic experience in a beautiful location. The house was cosy and well equipped but best of all was the nature all around 🌿

We recently stayed for 3 nights with 4 kids, it was awesome, beautifully presented, loads of open space for the kids to run wild… highly recommend… 👍
