THE best coffee shop and roaster in Sydney, the coffee is incredible with so many options, freshly roasted on site for you to see. I buy my beans here for my own machine also the choice is amazing, they will roast them for you there and then as you wait for take some already made recently and in the fridge. Food is fantastic too and so well priced. I have been to many many coffee shops in Sydney but this one is number 1.

Had my last coffee of 2023 here! Dora was so lovely taking our order right before they closed at 2pm on the last day of the year. She made an excellent coffee and the team was so warm and friendly! Thank you so much for the amazing cappuccino and happy new year Dora!

This is the only place we've been getting coffee from. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. The cafe is quite popular as well.
EDIT: 1 Year later. Wouldn't go anywhere else for coffee. Really big variety of blended and single origin coffee. The people here are really passionate about their coffee. It's also great they are open on Saturday. Highly recommend this place.

We had previously purchased beans and coffee at the coffee roasters in Brisbane, and everything was perfect!
We were very surprised and happy to move to Sydney and find it here too.
We've tried different brands of specially coffee in Sydney, I have to say the coffee roasters are still the best!

Delicious coffee, great food, friendly staff and a nice and relaxed vibe. These guys take their coffee and their roasting seriously and you definitely get the feeling there is science at work! Coffee beans can also be bought in bulk and for takeaway, so you have plenty of options on how to enjoy your brew.

I was looking to kill some time in the area while waiting for my haircut appointment and stumbled across The Coffee Roaster. Within three minutes of entering the shop, Dan, the founder, approached us in a very friendly way asking if we needed help or had any questions. We were standing right in front of the roasting equipment that is in the open area of the coffee shop for customers to observe, so I had to ask him what this setup is all about. Turns out Dan designed the entire roasting equipment after accumulating decades of experience with roasting coffee and dedicated all his heart into building the most scientific and consistent coffee roasting equipment. Dan spent over an hour showing us the different systems he invented, walking us through the science behind roasting coffee beans, and demonstrating roasting a batch of coffee in an interactive experience. What is the result of a genuine innovator who strives to roast the perfect coffee beans and and treats people with respect and passion - an award winning, high quality, and consistent coffee. You have to stop by to meet Dan, or try out their scientifically roasted and brewed coffee. It's worth your afternoon!

Absolutely love buying my coffee beans from here, so reasonably priced and consistently delicious. We went on a coffee roasting tour and John kindly answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) and learned so much about the roasting process and what goes on behind the scenes. Having a custom blend to take home was really special. Highly recommend the tour and the coffee from here.

The best coffee. Very accommodating staff and quick service. The place was very cozy. Must try in Rosebery area, along Botany Road. When you're in the area for any reason, try their freshly roasted coffee beans (whole or ground) to take home. They have choices from 250grms/pack to 2 kls/pack. 😊

Great coffee and sandwiches, we tried the cappuccino and latte, and the BLT Turkish and the Ultimate Roll!

It started with a quick cappuccino to go, now I’m ordering their beans by the bag load.
Their rich Rocket Fuel (#97), the moorish Melbourne Gold (#33), and smooth as (#101) is... well, smooth as silk.
Love the coffee these beans do create.

The coffee beans are some of the best. We have tried a few local roasters but always end up back here. The TRC 33 is flawless.
If you like a good coffee at home. I highly recommend visiting. The staff are also so inviting and nice, it's hard to stay away.
