Zinc Cafe

I popped in for breakfast and was immediately greeted and seated and offered tea or coffee. My tea came out quickly and my gentle waiter returned for my breakfast order promptly as I put down the menu.
My scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, bacon and avocado were divine -perfect in every way…. even the butter on its own side dish was delicious. My waiter was almost invisible yet attentive and offered to top up my teapot before I even asked 🙏🏻 Thanks for the best start to my weekend in Sydney 😘

Cozy and stylish, my experience at Zinc Cafe was nothing short of exceptional. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the outstanding service we received during breakfast. Despite the evident busyness of the establishment, our waiters managed to be not only efficient but also incredibly considerate. His attentiveness added a personal touch to our dining experience, making us feel truly valued as customers.

The attention to detail in the decor and the cleanliness of the space further added to the positive impression. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this cafe is well worth a visit. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next breakfast at Zinc Cafe.

It appears that Zinc Cafe has a strong community of people who love it here. I had a great sandwich from their board of specials, and the staff were kind and friendly, and amenable to special requests. The customers here appear to be a mix of locals and visitors, and all people came and left with a smile.

The location is lovely, especially on a day with great weather, and if you enjoy people-watching, this is the place for you.

Coffee here is also fantastic. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the Potts Point area!

Just the best. wonderful breakfasts, the best coffee. I read some of the old reviews and laughed a lot. Imagine complaining that the kedgeree had rice in it! (How wonderful to be able to order a brilliant kedgeree -- that is a rarity. Friends swear by the corned beef hash.

Not your usual cafe. Staff is friendly and great coffee!! Stopped on my way and am not definitely disappointed.

Zinc is deservedly a Potts Point institution. The outdoor seating is the perfect perch to watch the eclectic denizens of 2011. The sausage sandwich is a hangover cure while the sardines on toast kick start any health kick. When Nigel is on the coffee machine macchiatos pack the perfect punch.

Always immaculate, and the service is quick, efficient and friendly. Great food and coffee and consistent standards for many years, a very good sign...

We honestly read the first review and nearly walked away! SO glad we didn’t! The staff were amazing, including the owner, and the food was sensational. The coffee, hot chocolate and the tea were delicious!

Used to work for these guys. They well take care of this restaurant and do manage with a lot of care. Food is very good. I do hope to come back and dine even tho I was an ex employee

What a great cafe. Always somewhere to sit and chill, coffee is delicious, food is really very good and I can't forget to mention the incredible selection of Bloody Marys... It's busy but you'll always find a table. The staff are fun and very efficient.

We were there a couple of times for breakfast and lunch during our stay in Sydney. Very friendly staff, good food and quality! Coffee was good as well. The owner even gave us a little "discount" on our last day, so that we could spend the rest of our cash. Very very nice! If I will be back in Sydney again, I will definitely come back...

After living in Sydney for 25 years, there is no doubt in my mind that Zinc Cafe is simply the best cafe in Sydney. But the 300+ regulars that have kept it open for 21 years already know that. X

Fast professional service and good food

These lovely folks provide me with takeaway coffee many mornings.
There's a nice community of regulars I see being greeted and looked after -- ranging from the school girls headed to St Vincent's to the distinguished silver-haired set sharing breakfast and the day's newspaper, and everyone between.
There's a nice large table for a big group or communal sitting; and, there are tables outside. Dog friendly.
